Social Protection of the Population

The activity of the system of social protection began to have a prospective character. New work directions appear which are connected with the social sphere development and directed on provision of favorable and prospective future of the Okrug citizens.

For
last decades the system of social protection has changed greatly. At
the moment of formation the social work was limited by social grants
and privileges for old people and the disabled. At present the system
of social protection is a many-sided service of normal life activity
of old, disabled people, children, families with children; it
includes a wide list of measures, directed on preventive measures of
social troubles, assistance for people in troubles, support of
socially defenseless groups of population.
