Natalia V. Komarova was born on October 21, 1955, in
Pskov Region. She is married and has two children.
In 1978 she graduated from Kommunarsky Mining and
Smelting Institute, faculty of engineering and economics, specialization
in «economics and construction arrangements», «planning engineer» award.
She started her work activities in 1978, at the Kommunarsky metallurgic
plant, where she was a labor engineer at the labor scientific
laboratory, then an economist at the planning and economic department of
capital construction management.
In 1980 Natalia V. Komarova moved to Novy Urengoi of
the Tyumen Region, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and worked on the
position of chief inspector at the municipal executive committee.
In 1988 Natalia V. Komarova became a chairman of city
planning committee, then a deputy chairman of municipal executive
committee, City Council deputy, in 1992 – the first deputy head of Novy
Urengoi Administration.
In 1994 Natalia V. Komarova was appointed a head of
municipal Administration. At the same year she was elected the deputy of
State Duma of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and City Council deputy
of Novy Urengoi.
On March 16, 1997, on the results of elections,
Natalia V. Komarova continued to work on the position of the head of the
municipal entity – the city of Novy Urengoi till October 2000.
In October 2000 – December 2001 Natalia V. Komarova
was the Governor’s first deputy of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug,
heading Okrug’s Economic Council.
At the same time Natalia V. Komarova was engaged in
teaching: she was an assistant professor at social management chair of
the Yamal Oil & Gas Institute (branch) of the Tyumen State Oil & Gas
University (since 1999).
In December 2001 Natalia V. Komarova was elected a
State Duma deputy of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation over
Yamalo-Nenets election division. In 2004-2007 she headed the Natural
Resources & Nature Management Committee at State Duma of the RF Federal
Assembly.
In December 2007 Natalia V. Komarova was elected a
State Duma deputy of the RF Federal Assembly for the third time. She
continued to head the Natural Resources, Nature Management & Ecology
Committee at State Duma of the 5th convocation.On February 8, 2010,
Natalia V. Komarova was offered by President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev
to be a Governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra. On
February 15, her candidature was supported by Duma deputies of the
Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra on all hands at the special
extraordinary session.
On March 1, 2010, Natalia V. Komarova entered the
office of the Governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra. |
