The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:
Today
Governor of Ugra Natalia Komarova had a meeting with teachers and
students of the children’s ethnographic educational center of
Khanty-Mansiysk “Lylyn soyum”.
The name of the Center stands for “alive brook” (from
the Mansi language). Children from 5 to twenty three years old
demonstrated their talents to the head of the region – dances of the
Khanty and Mansi people, playing the national instruments. Each of
them are good at the Northern indigenous peoples’ crafts and
represent Ugra at annual festivals and contests.
Natalia Komarova assessed children’s success and
emphasized the necessity of children’s meetings with bearers of ethnic
culture in the region’s national settlements. In Governor’s opinion,
such experience will be useful for children in their further creative
projects and while making folk art and crafts.

Natalia Komarova got acquainted with the food products, manufactured
by the Northern indigenous people, and sold at shops.
She visited the specialized shop “Ugra Gifts” where
there is a wide choice of mushrooms, berries, fish, meat. Natalia
Komarova paid attention of the shop sellers that package of the goods
should meet European standards and promote to the increased term of
products storage.
In Governor’s opinion it will allow to increase the
commodity circulation, to increase competitive ability and to expand
the geography of sales of Ugra national communities procucts.
