The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

Today Governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra Natalia Komarova participated in the video-conference, organized by Plenipotentiary representative of  Russia’s President in the Urals Federal District Nikolai Vinnichenko.

She reported about social and  political situation in the municipalities where the elections will take place on Monday. Governor assessed the situation there as stable and controlled.

On March 14 people in the Khanty-Mansiysk and Beloyarski Districts, towns of Megion, Raduzhny, Pokachi should elect mayors  of these municipalities and 74 deputies to municipal parliaments. In sociologists’ opinion, representatives of the United Russia party have the most preferable chances.

Natalia Komarova also informed that in the Okrug the pre-term voting had been organized at reindeer nomad camps and other remote localities from February 26 to March 13.

Today in Khanty-Mansiysk in the frames of the Second Gas and Chemical Forum (IGCF-2010) the agreement was signed between the Ugra gas and chemical company and JSC “New gas technologies - Management”.

The document states the delivery of dry stripping gas,  got from associate petroleum gas, for further processing into chemical products at the plant of the Ugra gas and chemical company.

At present the negotiations are being held with subsoil users about the sale of associate petroleum gas, the implementation of the project for construction of the gas processing plant in the region with maximum rate of dry stripping gas equal to 600 million cubic m per year is coming to the end.

“The gas chemical cluster is a project which can give a new impulse to further development of low- and middle-tonnage gas chemistry in Ugra”, -emphasized Deputy Director General Denis Pchelintsev.

In compliance with the document the got dry stripping gas  will be used by the plant as raw materials to get paraxyleneand polyethylene theraphthalate, components of which are applied in the production of synthetic fiber and packing materials.

The Ugragas and chemical company was created in summer of 2009 in the frames of the resolution of the First International Gas and Chemical Forum to develop the textile and gas – chemical cluster and to implement the project of associate petroleum gas processing in synthetic fiber.
