The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:
Today Governor of Ugra Natalia Komarova chaired
the meeting, devoted to the preparation and holding the Biathlon World
Cup Final to be held in Khanty-Mansiysk on March 23-28.
Besides the members of the Organizing Committee, the
Ugra sportsmen who had returned from the Winter Olympic Games in
Vancouver Svetlana Sleptsova and Nikolai Kruglov,
participated in the meeting.
The head of the region emphasized that all the
authorities should do all preparatory work with great responsibility:
“I hope that everything will be held on a high level as it has always
been. You can host guests and participants of the international
competitions”.
The meeting participants discussed the preparation of
this large-scale event, adopted the plan of events, and also
incorporated some amendments to the membership of the Coordination
Council.

Governor of UgraNatalia Komarova today had a
meeting with the participants of the Winter Olympic Games in
Vancouver.
“For me such a meeting was for the first time and I as
well as any citizen of the Russian Federation am a bit nervous from
the opportunity to get acquainted with you personally and to thank for
what you have done for the country and for Ugra while the period of
the Winter Olympiad”, - emphasized the head of the region. “We worried
about you, were upset with your failures and were very pleased with
your medals and any victory. I am confident that you felt our
support”.
Natalia Komarova thanked coaches
and everyone “who provided this victory with knowledge, skills and
professionalism”. The head of the region awarded Ugra sportsmen and
their coaches with money certificates and gifts. Chief coach in
biathlon Valery Zaharov and Champion of the Winter Olympic
Games in VancouverSvetlana Sleptsova were awarded with the
badge “Merits for the Okrug” for a great contribution into development
of physical culture and sport in Ugra and high sports achievements.
“The Olympiad cannot be called a failure for the Okrug
as Okrug is possessed with one medal less this time”, - said
Governor. “In any activity there are ups and downs. These starts
enable us to begin something new with new efforts and strength. You
are young and experienced. We believe that the next Olympiad will be
a success for you. We shall do our best for you to feel our care”.
On behalf of the sportsmen Nikolai Kruglov thanked the
head of the region for the meeting and hearty reception the sportsmen
had experienced since their return from Vancouver to Ugra. “We wish
you good luck and success and we shall hope that Okrug will win more
medals while the next Olympic Games”. Svetlana Sleptsova handed over a
bib of an Olympic Games participant in Canada to Governor.
Natalia Komarova invited the
sportsmen to participate in the meeting of the Organizing Committee,
devoted to the preparation and holding the Biathlon World Cup Final to
be held in Khanty-Mansiysk.

The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:
The International rating agency Standard&Poor’s
confirmed its high credit rating of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous
Okrug-Ugra.
Based on the information of the Agency, for 2010 the
long-term rating BBB has been assigned to the region (forecast
“Negative”) which refers to the ratings of the top investment category
and reflects adequate creditability of the Autonomous Okrug. The
foreign currency rating is BBB/Stable/A-3, rating in national currency
– BBB+/Stable/A-2. Last year the top international rating agency
assigned the same credit rating to Ugra.
According to the Agency information, in the near future
the revision of the forecast for “Stable” is possible in case that the
economic priorities of the Okrug Government will be aimed at providing
the continuity of financial planning, budget implementation, debt
policy. “Positive rating actions can be linked with the increased
amount and improved order of the Okrug reserve fund functioning”, was
said in the Agency.
Commenting on the decision of the Standard&Poor’s, the
Acting Deputy Chairman of the Okrug Government for investments and
innovations Kirill Morozov said that the credit rating,
assigned to the region, stands for a high level of Ugra well-being,
positive indicators of the budget implementation, stipulated by
flexibility of its expenses, low debt burden and formation of the
regional reserve fund. Kirill Morozov also emphasized that Ugra was
still in the top three regions-leaders which were possessed of high
credit ratings. These regions are Moscow and Saint Petersburg which
are possessed of the rating BBB (forecast “Stable”).
