The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

On February 14 in Surgut there will be the second qualifying tournament  Counter-Strike 1.6 5X5.

This information was given by the Ugra office of the RF Computer Sport Federation. The participants of the competitions will compete for the right to compete with the best cyber sportsmen from Russia and CIS countries in the international festival “ASUS Winter Cup 2010”. Its finale will be held on February 20-23 in Moscow.

The first qualifying tournament was held at the end of November of 2009. It gathered 16 top teams of Ugra and Tyumen Region.

The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

This April Khanty-Mansiysk will host the All-Russia Skiing and Biathlon Championships among disable people (hearing-impaired and injured locomotorsystem  sportsmen).

Based on the information of the Disable People Sport Center the participation of commissions of the International and Russian Paralympic Committees  is expected to assess the readiness of the Skiing Center (Khanty-Mansiysk) for hosting the World Skiing and Biathlon Championships among disable people (hearing-impaired and injured locomotor system  sportsmen) in 2011.

At present   more and more disable people go in for sport in the region. For the last three years the number of sports has increased by three times, 121 gold, 110 silver and 81 bronze medals have been won at the All-Russian and international competitions. In the region such kinds of sport sledge hockey, skiing, biathlon, snow-board, alpine skiing are actively developed in the region.

In December of 2009 Ugra athletes won the third position at the First All-Russia Sledge Hockey Championships.
