The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:
Ugra has started the formation
of the team for the participation in the final stage of the All-Russia
Olympiad of schoolchildren to be held on March 20 to May 01. The
Autonomous Okrug will become the venue of school Olympiads in
computer science (Khanty-Mansiysk) and Life Safety (Surgut).
Based on the information of the
Regional Department of Education and Science, participants from 83
regions of the Russian Federation are expected to come.
The results of the regional
stage in the Autonomous Okrug in 2009-2010 have been summed up
already. While this schooling year over one thousand schoolchildren of
9-11 classes from 22 municipalities of Ugra competed in 19 school
subjects. The results of the regional stage of the All-Russia Olympiad
of schoolchildren in 2009-2010 schooling year are available on the
site

the sector “Events”/”Olympiad movement in Ugra”.

The combined team of Ugra participated at the
children’s tournament “E1” “Heirs of the Victory” which was held in
the frames of the International Chess Festival “Moscow Open 2010”. The
winners of these qualifying competitions got the right to participate
at the European Championships among school champions 2010.
Based on the information of the Chess Internet-Center,
Ugra demonstrated good results. Irina Drogovoz
(Khanty-Mansiysk) is the best among girls, born in 1999 and younger.
Maria Drogovoz from Khanty-Mansiysk in her age category and
Andrei Chenchik from Nefteyuganskwon second positions. In the
competition among youths (born in 1995 and younger) Mikhail
Chernyuk (Langepas) is an absolute winner.
So, the Irina Drogovoz and Mikhail Chernyuk won the
right to participate at the European Championships among school
champions 2010to be held in Greece on April 4-12 (with free
accommodation and meals).
