The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:
On February 14 Ugra will participate in the XXVIII Open
All-Russia mass ski race.
The competition “Skiing course of Russia-2010” will
take place in Khanty-Mansiysk, Surgut and village of Mezhdurechenski
of the Kondinski District.
The decree about that was signed by Governor of the
Autonomous Okrug Alexander Filipenko. He adopted the members of the
Organizing Committee, gave a task to make the plan of events for
preparation and holding this sports competitions and to highlight it
in mass media. Mayors are recommended to send delegations to
participate in the ski races.
It has become a tradition that over 800 ths. sportsmen
participate in the competition “Skiing course of Russia-2010” in over
140 towns of Russia. The interest to the mass race is growing from
year to year. In 2009 the ski competition were held in Khanty-Mansiysk
and Kondinski District.

Over 100 teams participate in the II Ugra Business
Management Cup “Tochka Rosta”.
1/3 of them have been formed by big companies of the
Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – “Yuganskneftegaz”, “Gaspromneft-Khantos”,
“NizhnevrtovskNIPIneft”, “LUKoil-Zapadnaya Sibir”. 28 teams from 9
municipalities represent small and mi8dele business. Over 40 teams –
students’ combined team of 9 higher educational institutions and
branches.
At present the first round is held and after that about
60 teams will continue the competition for the Cup.
The 8 best teams will compete for the Champion’s title
in the finale to be held in Khanty-Mansiysk in April.

Today under the chairmanship of the Deputy Chairman of
the Government for Investments and Innovations Kirill Morozov it was
held the meeting of the Organizing Committee for preparation of the
Second International Gas and Chemical Forum IGCF-2010 to be held on
March 10-12 in Khanty-Mansiysk.
9 workshops are expected to work in the frames of the
forum and there will be made reports, devoted to the development of
gas-chemical cluster of Russia and Ugra, production of methanol and
hydrogen, new perspective projects, products and technologies in the
sphere of gas chemistry.
“The first forum resulted in discussions,
recommendations. The issues to be discussed this year are also of
current interest. First of all we suppose to consider new projects in
the sphere of gas chemistry, mechanisms how to manage them, production
of hydrogen and methanol, GTL projects and also issues of new
catalysts”, -said Kirill Morozov.
Deputies Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation
Sergei Kudryashov and Anatoli Yanovski, Chairmen of the Russian Gas
Society and State Commission for minerals reserves of the Natural
Resources Ministry Valeri Yazev and Yuri Podturkin, first deputy of
the Chairman of the Economic Policy, Entrepreneurship and Property
Committee of the Council of Federation Vladimir Gusev, Managing
Director of ROSNANO Georgi Kolpachev, employees of the public
authorities of the Ivanov and Belgorod Regions are expected to
participate in the forum. The other participants – representatives of
the LUKoil, Gasprom, SIBUR, Gasprom Neft, NOVATEK, TNK-BP, ROSNANO,
Haldor Topsoe (Denmark), Sud Chemie (Germany), Johnson Matthey (Great
Britain), Foster Wheeler (USA), Sasol (South Africa).
In the frames of the First International forum 250
Russian and foreign experts from Russia, Denmark, Germany, Great
Britain, Lithuania, Estonia, Switzerland, USA, Japan, Austria
participated. Over 40 reports were made at 6 workshops and were
devoted to problems of gas chemistry and development of the industry
in the Autonomous Okrug.

Only in Khanty-Mansiysk about 5 thousand people plan to
participate in the XXVIII Open All-Russia mass ski race “Skiing course
of Russia-2010”.
On February 14 the competitiobns will also be held in Surgut and
Mezhdurechenski of the Kondinski District.
Based on the information of the “UgraMegaSport”,
Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko will give a start to the ski race
in front of the Ice Palaces of Sport. Each category of skiers will
have their distances. Young skiers under 18 years – the skiing course
of 5 km, over 18 years – 10 km. Members of the Ugra Government,
directors of the departments will ski the distance of 2014 m
symbolizing the Olympiad in Sochi.
The winners of the “Skiing course of Russia-2010” will
be awarded with medals, diplomas, prizes, souvenirs. The youngest and
oldest skiers and the most effective family will get special prizes.
The best sportsmen will participate in the III Russian Youth
Expedition “By ski to the North Pole”.
Traditionally over 800 ths. sportsmen participate in
the competition “Skiing course of Russia” in over 140 towns of Russia.
The interest to the mass race is growing from year to year. This year
over 500 ths. people are expected to participate in the race.
