The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

The marathon “Cross of the Nations” was held in Khanty-Mansiysk.

In spite of the constant rain representatives of various organizations, schools of the Olympic Reserve, townsmen and veterans of sport participated in the marathon. The peculiarity of the “Cross of the Nations” in Khanty-Mansiysk was the participation of Paralympic sportsmen who ran the distance of 800 m. Boys and  girls, men and women ran the distance of 2000 and 4000 m. Veterans of sport competed in the distance of 500, 1000 and 1500 m. Younger participants ran half a km. The oldest athletes ran 1400 m.

After the marathon there was an awarding ceremony. The top six sportsmen in each age category got diplomas, medals and cups.

The All-Russia Day of Running is the most popular sport mass event of this season.

The official delegation of Ugra participated in the VIII International Investment Forum “Sochi-2009”.

Representatives of the regional center of investments and Okrug department of investments, science and technologies participated in the plenary session of the Forum which was opened by Chairman of the RF Government Vladimir Putin. In Prime Minister’s opinion, one of the priorities of the Russian Government policy should become energy efficiency, application of advanced energy-saving technologies.

One of the round tables  where the members of the Ugra delegation participated, was devoted to this problem. It was noted while the discussion that the reduction by 40-45 % of the energy consumption scope by Russian enterprises will make it  possible to increase the profit by 5-7 %. Due to that Russia  will be on the same level  with  the European countries.

In the Forum frames Director of the Okrug Department Anton Ladnov and leader of the center Vasili Dudnichenko had a meeting with Ruslan Pakhomov, Executive Director of the Russian office of the “General Electric Energy Infrastructure” company which is the biggest global player on the energy market. Anton Ladnov told about investment attraction of the region, about projects, aimed at developing gas-chemical, timber and mining clusters.

Ruslan Pakhonov emphasized that the company “GE” is interested in the cooperation with the Autonomous Okrug and is also ready to be a resident of the Ugra techno-park of high technologies what will speed up the process of the concrete projects implementation. At present the company participates in the implementation of projects in 40 towns of Russia and CIS.

Besides, in the frames of the Sochi Forum it was held the meeting with representatives of the working group which coordinates the implementation of the textile cluster creation project in the Autonomous Okrug. This project is implemented in accordance with the agreement on cooperation between the Ugra Government and Government of the Ivanov Region.

On September 26-27 Khanty-Mansiysk wil host the Fifth Regional Fitness-Convention.

Based on the information of organizers, this traditional sports and educational event is held with the support of the Moscow clubs “Orange Fitness” and “City Fitness” and also Ugra Federation of Fitness and Body-Building.

The key goal of the event is still to increase the professional level of people, involved in fitness industry of the Autonomous Okrug.

While two days the Convention participants will have a meeting with the best presenters of the company “Strata Partners”, managing network of the clubs Orange Fitness” and “City Fitness” and also master-classes. “I am very pleased that I have an opportunity to present my information to your specialists. I hope that there will be many visitors of the Convention and, taking an opportunity, I would like to invite all people for whom this event is interesting”, - said one f the co-organizers of the Fitness Convention, presenter of the international level Vladimir Snezhik.
