The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:
 The
delegation of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, headed by Deputy
Chairman of the Ugra Government for education, science and external
relations Alexei Mayorov, participates in the V
Trade-Investment Fair of the North-East Asia countries. The Fair is
held in Chanchung (Tsilin, China). Delegations from Great Britain,
India, Gong-Kong, Mongolia, North and South Korea, Thailand, France,
Sri-Lanka, Japan and other countries participate in the Forum.
In the frames of the presentation – exposition of the
Autonomous Okrug which is the basis of the exhibition stand of the
Russian Federation, Ugra delegates told about social and economic
development and commercial and investment potential of the region,
prospects of timber industry of the Okrug.While the demonstration
there were represented concrete projects of the top timber enterprises
of Ugra.
Alexei Mayorov had a meeting with Governor of Tsilin
Province Khan Chan Fu who told about the potential of the Province. He
assured that Tsilin is ready to promote enterprises of Ugra in search
for partners and expressed interest in the development of bilateral
cooperation of the regions.

Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko discussed
with Director General of the JSC “TNK-BP-Zapadnaya Sibir” Oleg Nam
the issues of the production activities of the oil company in the
Autonomous Okrug.
In spite of the economic difficulties the company could
increase scopes of hydrocarbons production by 3,1 % in the first half
of the year in comparison with the analogous period of the previous
year. It was possible due to the operation of the northern part of the
field “Kamennoye”. The company fulfills its social obligations.
At present the leaders of the company prepares the
business-plan of the next year and social partnerships with the Okrug
authorities and municipalities is of great importance. In 2010 Nyagan
will celebrate its 25-th anniversary and 30-th anniversary from the
beginning of the Krasnoleninsk fields industrial development. The TNK-BP
intends to finance the events, planned by the municipality to
celebrate these events.
For almost ten years the company organizes
seminars-meetings “Business and Government” where representatives of
the company and public authorities of Russian regions assess the level
of interaction and cooperation of business and government, discuss
perspective joint activities. The next seminar will be held in the
20-s of September in Khanty-Mansiysk.
Governor thanked the leaders and staff of the company
for successful work, congratulated upon the coming Day of oil and gas
industry, expressed confidence that cooperation of oilmen and
government in social-economic development of Ugra will be continued.
