The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

The further development of boxing in the Autonomous Okrug was discussed today by Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko and repeated world and European champion, Honored Master of Sport of Russia Evgeniy Makarenko, President of the Okrug Boxing Federation Alexei Safiollin and Chair of the Committee for Physical Culture and Sport Viktor Maygurov.

This kind of sport is in great demand of Ugra children. Today 3,7 ths. children  go in for boxing in the municipalities. They participate in tournaments of the regional, All-Russia and international level and the winners will get titles of Sport Master and Sport Master of international class. Soon the international tournament “Cup of oil countries (class “A”) will be held in Khanty-Mansiysk. With opening of the College –boarding school of the Olympic Reserve in the Ugra capital there is an opportunity of opening the specialized class of boxing for 17 promising sportsmen.

Governor made a decision to appoint Evgeniy Makarenko Deputy Director – leader of the Nizhnevartovsk branch of the Regional Center of Sport Training.

The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

On October 6-8 the III Interregional exhibition-forum “Commonwealth-2009” to be held in Khanty-Mansiysk.

The exhibition-forum is held to strengthen cooperation and agreements with constituent entities of the Russian Federation and CIS countries and also to establish new economic and business contacts.

The Forum is supposed to unite representatives of the authorities, foreign states, specialized leasing companies, marketing and training centers, research institutes, crafts centers, NGO, techno-parks, air companies, enterprises of various branches of economy.

In the expositions frames there will be presented innovations in various branches of regional economy, consumer goods, industrial commodities. Round tables are expected to be organized for leaders of enterprises to demonstrate achievements of Russian regions and advanced methods of economy will be demonstrated.

The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko and Chief coach of the hockey team “Ugra” Sergei Shepelev by phone the issues, connected with the preparation of the club for the beginning of the Season. It starts on September 13.

The head of the region said that judging by the results of the hockey club “Ugra” participation in the tournaments before the Season, hockey players are in good  sports form. The Okrug Federation of Hockey, Ugra Government and leaders of the Club will jointly solve problems of the Club.

Chief coach thanked Governor  for the attention to the life of the hockey club and assured him that the Champion’s title, won by the team “Ugra” last year will be preserved.

The hockey club “Ugra” (Khanty-Mansiysk) started its participation in the international hockey tournament “Steel Cup” in Chelyabinsk with the victory. At the Sport Palace “Mechel” the Ugra hockey players won the team “Gazovik” (Tyumen) with the score 4:2. So, the team  took vengeance on the   defeat with the score 1:0 at the competition in Tyumen.

Hockey players of Ugr at the tournament “Steel Cup” will compete with teams of the higher division – “Mechel” (Chelyabinsk), “Diesel” (Penza), “Kaztsink-Torpedo” (Ust-Kamenogorsk).
