The Okrug Governor’s
press-service informs:
One of priority directions of
the construction industry in Ugra is the development of wooden
framework housing construction. It is expected to increase it up
to 50 % in the total scope of individual housing construction -
400-450 thousand sq.m per year.
There are seven enterprises of
wooden housing construction in Ugra which produce framework houses
based on different technologies and schemes including LVL panels.
Besides, highly-technologies
plants and facilities work in the region and involved in deep
processing of timber to provide plants of wooden housing construction
with high-quality timber. One of the biggest companies - "Timber
Holding MDF" which produces middle-fiber density panels.
Governor of the Autonomous Okrug
Alexander Filipenko said that in spite of financial difficulties this
company continues its stable work and has orders till the end of 2009.
Participating in the TV program "From the first person" by TV and
radio channel "Ugra" the head of the region said that in October the
plant has produced and sold over 3 000 cubic m of wood-based panels
and 5200 cubic meters are expected to be produced in November. The
production is sold within the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug and
Russian Federation and also abroad - Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Iran.

The Okrug Governor’s

The Ugra Cup "Point of
Growth" has been started in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug for
the second time. This educational project on business management
in the competitive environment is held by the regional government
jointly with the Academy of National Economy at the Russian Federation
Government.
550 managers, students and
graduates of manager’s specialties from 40 big companies, 39 middle
and small enterprises, 16 higher educational institutions and 8
non-commercial institutions participated in the first competition in
2008.
The registration of this
competition participants will be in November but the competition will
be held from December of 2009 to March of 2010. The team-winner of the
Regional Cup will participate in the All-Russia stage of the biggest
global competitions in strategic management Global Management
Challenge (GMC - Global Management Challenge). The GMC Final will be
held in May of 2010 in Khanty-Mansiysk and the best teams of managers
from 32 countries will compete there.
