The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

Last Saturday Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko participated  in the opening ceremony of the International Freestyle Wrestling Tournament in Poikovski (Nefteyugansk District). In his welcoming speech the head of the region said that such competitions were in great demand and that meant that the tournament would be held. "The role of the International Freestyle Wrestling Tournament  is great not just for sports achievements but it has great propaganda meaning", - emphasized Alexander Filipenko. "I am confident that hundreds of boys after the competitions will go in for freestyle wrestling, would be like to be strong. It is extremely important in the context of the task, given by President of Russia in the development of physical culture and sport in the country".

Governor of the Autonomous Okrug and Mayor of the Nefteyugansk District Vladimir Semenov viewed the facilities of Poikovski: a dwelling house, fire depot (the construction is "frozen" since 2005). 68 million rubles are needed to accomplish the construction. In the municipality there is insufficient money for the construction of new kindergartens as well. This problem is very serious as the birth rate is growing from year to year in the municipality. Vladimir Semenov told about prospects of individual house construction development. For example, in the villages of Salym and Cheuskino there are 10 ha of land for this construction but engineer networks are necessary. Governor of Ugra promised to consider an opportunity of extra financial support to the District to solve these important problems. At the end of the visit Alexander Filipenko participated in the press-conference and answered questions of journalists, accredited at the International tournament in Poikovski.
