The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

Yesterday in Moscow Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko had a meeting with President of the oil company LUKoil Vagit Alekperov.

Director of one of the biggest oil- and gas-producing companies in Russia, the main resources of which are located in the Autonomous Okrug, informed Governor about the production activities of the companies and about the process  of the implementation of the Agreement on social partnerships.

Alexander Filipenko expressed gratitude to the staff of LUKoil for a great contribution into social and economic development of the Autonomous Okrug and municipalities where the company is working. In his opinion, under conditions of the world financial and economic crisis and decline of prices for crude oil the company makes it best to stabilize the level of hydrocarbons production, to modernize the production and to apply the most advanced technologies. The company actively supports  the implementation of socially significant projects in Ugra in the sphere of social policy, culture and sport. The head of the region expressed confidence that next year the company would also participate actively in life of the Autonomous Okrug.

The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

The preliminary results of the III Interregional Forum “Commonwealth-2009” have been summed up at the Committee for External Relations of the Autonomous Okrug. It united 17 regions of the Russian Federation, CIS countries: Moldova, Ukraine, Kyrgystan, Kazakhstan, Tadjikistan.

Representatives of regional authorities of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, administrations of the towns of Sochi, Saint Petersburg, and also Omsk Region, Tomsk Region, leaders of the interregional associations “Bolshoi Ural”, “Siberian Agreement”, Consuls of the Republics of the  Ukraine, Moldova, Kyrgiz, representatives of 15 national public associations, registered in Ugra. The total number of the Forum participants – about 500 people.

The production by 83  exponents  was exhibited. Issues of the migration legislation application, organized  taking on of labor resources abroad,  rendering medical educational assistance, observance of the law and order were discussed at round tables with the participation of CIS countries’ consuls.

Based on the information from the Committee for External Relations, there was achieved  consensus  about possible creation of the foreign citizens’ employment agency in the Autonomous Okrug with the direct participation of diasporas. Besides, it is expected to involve diasporas to solve many other problems. For example, registration of foreign citizens (arrangement of  necessary documents, assistance in observance of law and order in the Autonomous Okrug, provision children and parents from CIS with services in teaching Russian at educational institutions of the Autonomous Okrug, rendering medical services).

Representatives of Saint Petersburg and Tomsk Region spoke about prospects of interregional cooperation at videoconferences.

In the Forum frames there were made 5 presentations: two air companies – “Urals airlines” and “Air-Astana”; sanatorium  and resort complex of Sochi; tourist business of the Yamalo-Nenets AO;  economic potential of the Omsk Region; program “Improvement of housing conditions of the Autonomous Okrug people”, sub-program “Mortgage housing crediting”. Participants of the presentation got an opportunity to get acquainted with conditions of crediting the JSC “Khanty-Mansiysk bank” and “Sberbank”.

As a result, representatives of the Industry and Commerce Chamber of the Autonomous Okrug with companies of the Regions – Omsk, Kurgan, Orenburg signed two agreements on cooperation between the Industry and Commerce Chambers and business – incubators of Ugra and Omsk Region.

The Stock Exchange of Contacts worked at the exhibition in the sphere of transport and communications, information technologies, environment protection, construction. There were held seminars, exhibitions, presentations of national public associations, concert of national performing groups.

In the Forum organizers and participants’ opinion  the goals and tasks were achieved. There is a wish to expand the membership of people, invited from the CIS countries, next year.
