The Okrug Governor’s
press-service informs:
The increase of interregional
cooperation efficiency was discussed today at the plenary session by
participants of the III Interregional forum "Comonwealth-2009" to be
held in Khanty-Mansiysk.
At present there have been
established long-term economic partner relations of the region with 23
regions of Russia. Active work for the implementation of the
agreements has been done with Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg,
Ivanov, Nizhegorod, Tomsk, Sverdlovsk, Omsk and Leningrad Regions.
Republics of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan. "Because of the absence in
Ugra of big companies to provide the region with industrial products
and consumer goods, the import to the region is carried out due to
partner relations with constituent entities of Russia which border on
Ugra. Most part of production comes to Ugra from the South of the
Tyumen Region and city of Tyumen. The interaction with other
constituent entities of the Federation is made mainly in humanitarian
sphere: information, technologies and experience exchange", -
emphasized in her speech Chairperson of the Committee for External
Relations Zinaida Sakhautdinova.
In her opinion, interregional
economic relations today have come to a new level: "there are goals to
form production and technological chains-clusters. For that it is
necessary to unite economic potential of the region with possibilities
of other regions, to build up the production of the technological
chain to provide deep processing of raw materials based on the
advanced technologies into commodities which are in sustainable demand
on internal and international markets. The clusters formation will be
based on resources the Khanty-Mansiysk Okrug is rich in: gas, oil,
timber. Recently it has been signed the agreement with the Ivanov
Region and we hope it will serve an example of economic integration.
Hydrocarbons delivered from Ugra after deep processing will turn into
textile products which are needed in petrochemical and timber
industries".
Chairperson of the Committee for
External Relations also told about the interaction of the Okrug with
CIS countries aimed at activation of interrelations with compatriots
who live abroad, use of republics potential and joint efforts for the
development of the States economics.
Deputy Chair of the Government
for external relations, science and education Alexei Mayorov
emphasized that the foreign economic activities in Ugra last year
increased approximately by 8 % and this indicator does not include the
oil sector. It proves the efficiency of cooperation of regions and
organizing joint forums and exhibitions which "give an opportunity to
business and government to develop all spheres of interaction in
education, culture, healthcare, agriculture and housing and communal
sector".
At the plenary session there
were considered issues of the transfer from external regional
relations to strengthening partner links, diversification of economy
and implementation of joint projects. Participants in detail discussed
the improvement of national diasporas and representative offices of
the Okrug activities management infrastructure in regions and of
representative offices of other constituent entities of the RF in Ugra.
