The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

On November 29 in Russia there will be celebrated Mother’s Day.

It is a holiday of a Woman whose working days and week-ends are full of labor and care about home and family, it is a holiday of a Woman who gave the birth to a baby.

Support to families, motherhood and childhood has always been one of key avenues of social policy of Ugra public authorities.

In spite of the instability of the economic situation all social guarantees have been preserved in the Autonomous Okrug and rendered to families with children (29 benefits).

From year to year the activities of social facilities is improved and availability and efficiency of their services are increased, advanced technologies of the work with families are applied.

Since 2008 women having children until 3 years old, have been provided with an opportunity of professional training and upgrading. The financial support in the amount of 40 ths. rubles  is granted to families which need self-sufficiency. The Government of the Autonomous Okrug made a decision about the payment of the benefit to married couples in connection of the jubilee of their marriage – form 50 to 70 ths. rubles.

In 2002 81 women were awarded with the medal “Mother’s Glory” who brought up five and more children. In 2009 Nikolai and Elena Gridasovs from Nizhnevartovsk were awarded with the medal “Parents’ Glory” for bringing up six children and strengthening family traditions in accordance with the decree of the Russian Federation President.

Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko warmly congratulated Ugra women upon Mother’s Day: “I heartily thank all mothers whose wisdom and care made Ugra prosperous. I wish you health, pride for your children, pleasant chores, happy life, calmness, financial well-being, joy in each family”.
