The Okrug Governor’s
press-service informs:
Today Governor of Ugra
Alexander Filipenko had a meeting with Repeated Chess World Champion
Anatoli Karpov who as UNICEF ambassador, participates in the VIII
Interregional research and practical IT conference, held in
Khanty-Mansiysk.
Anatoli Evgenievich is a founder
of the new system of bringing up young chess-players. The school,
organized by him in the Nefteyugansk District, has become a base of
this wise game training – today 12642
children are involved into this training and via Internet as well.
Various tournaments are held in the Internet. To play chess is
introduced into the program of the Autonomous Okrug educational
schools to develop creative abilities, logics and memory of children.
The interlocutors discussed the
further steps on propaganda and development of this game and also the
process of the preparation of Ugra capital for hosting the 39-th World
Chess Olympiad and 81-st FIDE Congress to be held next September.
This meeting was held on the eve
of tomorrow’s meeting of the Organizing Committee on holding the
Olympiad and opening of the World Chess Cup.

Yesterday
in Moscow Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko had a meeting with
Executive Director of the oil company TNK-BP German Khan.
They discussed
issues of the company’s participation in social and economic
development of the municipalities, where the company TNK-BP is
working, and the preparation of the agreement on social partnerships
for 2010.
The
Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug is a strategically important region
for the company, its main producing and extractive assets are
concentrated here therefore the leaders are interested in the
preservation of the stable activities in the region. The company does
not intend to reduce the achieved scopes of oil production and the TNK-BP
is going to increase the efficiency of its activities. German Khan and
Alexander Filipenko discussed concrete goals, aimed at implementing
the events on the associate petroleum gas salvaging what will make it
possible to use the raw materials, extracted at the regional fields,
effectively and to improve greatly the environmental situation in the
region.
Besides, the
head of the region and Executive Director exchanged opinions about
conditions of involving small and middle business into the
implementation of projects in oil industry.

 The
eighth interregional research and practical conference "Information
technologies and solutions for the development of information
community in Russia" was started in Khanty-Mansiysk.
The organizers
of the conference: Administration of the Governor and Government of
the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra, Duma of the
Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra, Committee for Information
Resources of the Okrug Governor’s Administration, Ugra State
University.
 The
goal of the conference - experience exchange and choice of the best
solutions in the sphere of information and communications
technologies for the development of the information community,
development and strengthening of interregional relations, making
recommendations to increase the level of regional informatization. In
the frames of the business program including plenary sessions and
workshops, round tables, there will be considered issues of the
information community formation, creation of the "E-State", provision
of citizens with e-services, information safety, access to official
information resources and etc.
Representatives of the public authorities of the federal and regional
level, municipalities, business-structures, research and educational
institutions, non-governmental organizations participate in the event.
