The Okrug Governor’s
press-service informs:
"The idea of creation of the
Center for non-timber resources processing in Ugra is real but we
should approve its organizational and legal form, basic spheres of its
activities and financing", - said Deputy Chairman of the Government
for education, science and external relations Alexei Mayorov.
The project was developed in the
frames of Russia and Canada Northern Regional Development Program
(NORDEP) and has been implemented for two years in Saranpaul.
Primarily 5 people were involved in the project, now - 50 people.
At the round table with the
participation of potential partners of the new organization the
coordinator of the program Tim Brigham made a presentation of the new
center strategy. It was based on the analysis of the needs of the
municipalities and assessment of the Okrug potential. He said: "In the
region high results have been achieved in promotion of folk arts and
crafts but it is necessary to attract new partners and use the
positive experience of other regions", -emphasized Tim Brigham. "A new
center will allow to avoid mediators and make shorter the chain
between a producer and client. It will give information in time and
will be useful for small and family business in the preparation of
authorizing documents, improvement of marketing and exploration of new
markets for production sale".
Today experts are confident that
the ideal model of the center should work in Khanty-Mansiysk and
should be financed from the budget by 100 % at first and then by 50 %.
Alexei Mayorov agreed that while
the first year of the new center life financing from the budget would
be necessary but afterwards the center should be re-paying.
After the discussions the
strategy will be made, options of financing will be calculated from
the local budgets and enterprises.
