Governor’s press-service informs:
Today
Deputy Chairman of the Government for subsoil management and fuel
-energy sector Vladimir Karasev had a meeting in Khanty-Mansiysk with
the foreign delegation, headed by Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary
Ambassador of Finland in Russia Matti Anttonen.
They discussed
the economic situation in Finland and Ugra and also prospects of the
territories development.
For over 10
years the Finnish companies have closely cooperated with
representatives of business-structures of the Autonomous Okrug -
supply equipment for big oil companies. The interlocutors exchanged
opinions about the expansion of business-contacts.
The Finnish
delegation was interested in the construction of a pulp and paper
plant in Ugra. Vladimir Karasev said about the necessity in the base
of raw materials and availability of legislative conditions.
At the end of
the meeting the interlocutors expressed confidence and readiness for
further expansion of mutually beneficial commercial and economic
links.

Today Deputy Chairman of the Government for education, science and
external relations Alexei Mayorov had a meeting with Deputy Director
of the Branch for International cooperation and exchange of the
North-East pedagogical university of the Chinese People’s Republic.
His visit to the region is aimed at providing close links between the
Nizhnevartovsk and North-East pedagogical universities.
At the
beginning of September the delegation of the Khanty-Mansiysk
Autonomous Okrug participated in the V Trade-Investment Fair of the
North-East Asia Countries to be held in Chaounchun (Tsilin Province).
It was signed the memorandum on cooperation between Ugra and China in
the sphere of education and science. The document states opportunities
for students’ and teachers’ exchange, topics of joint research
projects in ecology and development of new construction materials.
While the
discussion the Chinese guest determined proposed aspects of the
interaction between the universities: ""Next year is declared the Year
of China in Russia. In this regard the university planned several
events to be held in both countries. In China there will be organized
training courses for Russian specialists in learning Chinese language
and directors of secondary schools will be invited to have an
internships. A camp for students will work as well. In Russia there
are planned performances of students’ groups, exhibitions of
literature and pictures of Chinese painters".
Alexei Mayorov
said that the first steps for fruitful cooperation had been made: "Now
the universities can determine the character of their relations and
ways of the implementation of joint plans on their own".

Today on
November 11 Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko will participate in
the round table "Clean water - health of the Nation" to be held at the
press-center of RAMI "RIA Novosti". The participants of the round
table are Chairman of the State Duma, Chairman of the Organizing
Committee of the "Clean Water" International Forum Boris Gryzlov,
Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee Svetlana Orlova, leader of
the Federal Service for control in the sphere of clients’ rights
protection and human well-being, Chief Sanitarian Doctor of Russia
Gennadi Onischenko, Governor of the Novgorod Region Sergei Mitin,
First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Altai Republic Vadim
Tevonyan and President of the National Union of water plants of
Russia, Director General of the "St.Petersburg Vodokanal" Felix
Karmazinov.
While the
discussion they are expected to discuss issues of availability of
high-quality drinking water for the population of Russia, saving of
water resources, creation of the strategic reserves of clean drinking
water in case of world environmental and man-caused catastrophes.
The event will
be held in the frames of the preparation for the Clean Water"
International Forum to be held on November 24 in Moscow. Leaders of
the State Duma and Council of the Federation, Government of the
Russian Federation, federal ministries, representatives of the biggest
international organizations - UN, UNESCO, IWA, WWC, Russian and
international research and expert community, professionals of the
water industry.

The vent was
held in Moscow on October 6-8, 2009. Leaders of the Khanty-Mansiysk
Autonomous Okrug and Corporation discussed cooperation in the sphere
of innovational projects, basic avenues of interaction and concrete
projects, connected with polar quartz processing.
In his letter
to Governor Anatoli Chubais expressed hope that "Khanty-Mansiysk
Autonomous Okrug will promote to innovational renewal of its economy,
creation of new enterprises which will determine competitive ability
of Russian on the world markets".
