The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

Today, on December 29, Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko will participate in the meeting of the Disable People Council at the Russian Federation President.

The meeting will be chaired by President of Russia Dmitri Medvedev.

The meeting participants will discuss the measures, undertaken in regions and aimed at involving disable people into active life of the society, will assess level of these people’s social support, will consider extra events under the implementation of the national program for their support.

Ugra Business Management Cup "Tochka Rosta" starts on January 19, 2010. Over 100 teams made applications. Registration is available on the site www.tochka-rosta.biz The deadline is January 15.

The General sponsor of the competitions is the company Salym Petroleum. It will be held according to the Olympic system: the winner will be determined in the quarter-final, semifinal and final rounds. The first and second stages of the tournament will last for five weeks each and on-line via Internet. The best eight teams-participants will compete  in the final round to be held in Khanty-Mansiysk in April-2010. The winner will represent the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug at the All-Russia stage of the international competitions "Global Management Challenge".  The finale of the international competitions "Global Management Challenge" will be held in Khanty-Mansiysk on Mat 15-17, 2010 and teams-winners of national finales from 32 countries will participate in it.

The elimination round of the Ugra Business Management Cup "Tochka Rosta" has been just finished. Each participant could be a director of a company and make tens of management solutions which impact capitalization of his business.

Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko is the "Man of the Year". It is announced by the "Club-7" of directors of Tyumen mass media in accordance with the results of the public opinion contest.

The most important events of the past year, politicians, people of culture, businessmen, organizers of production and top managers who made great contributions to the democratic reforms, social and economic, spiritual development of the society, are awarded.

In numerous nominations of the contest there are represented our countrymen - Nikolai Letyaev (nomination "Professional of the Year") and Hinorary citizen of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug Valeri Graifer (nomination "Legend of the Year").

The Plenipotentiary representative of RF President in the Urals Federal District Nikolai Vinnichenko became the "Statesman of the Year".

Svetlana Sleptsova - a biathlete from Khanty-Mansiysk - the best sportsman of December - 2009!

The finale of  voting  of the project "Golden pedestal" was on-line on December 28  at the TV channel and site Sportbox.ru 64 % of TV viewers  and site users voted for Svetlana. Her competitor, handball player, tree times world champion, prize-winner of the Olympic Games, the most effective of the World Champion-2009 Lyudmila Postnova had 36 % of voters. In the first round Svetlana and Lyudmila competed European swimming champion Stanislav Donets, slier Alexei Petukhov and Albert Demchenko (sledge). But they won.

Svetlana Sleptsova was born on July 31, 1986 in Khanty-Mansiysk. Her coach is Valeri Zaharov. She is three times junior world champion, world champion (relay). In season 2009-2010 she won three times at the Biathlon World Cup stages9in relay, sprint and pursuit). She is the third in the Biathlon World Cup score total.

By the way, while two days - December 30 and 31  - TV viewers of the TV channel "Sport" and visitors of the site Sportbox.ru will choose the best sportsman of Russia - 2009. Voting will be started on December 30 at 11.20 in the frames of the project "Golden pedestal" to be broadcast on-line by the channel Sport. The sportsmen to have been chosen according to the results of 2009, will compete for the title. They are divided into couples and the couple with the most score will compete in the next round. One can vote on the site or by sending the e-mail with the letter S and number of a  sportsman or SMS - number 4002.
