The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

Today  in Yekaterinburg Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko participates in the meeting of the Tutorial Board of the Corporation "Ural Industrial - Ural Polar" and Collegium on Security at the Plenipotentiary representative of Russia’s President in the Urals Federal District.

Organizational issues, prospects of  the mega-project implementation are expected to be considered at the meeting.

Besides Nikolai Vinnichenko, governors of the constituent entities of the RF within the Urals Federal District, the Chair of the State Anti-Drug Committee Viktor Ivanov also participates. Governor will make a report about the implementation of the regional program on drugs  interdiction and implementation of the resolution of the Council of Security "On Additional Measures of the Improvement of the Activities on Foreign Religious Organizations Extremist and Other Illegal Activities Response".

Tomorrow the gala opening ceremony of the World Boxing Cup among oil-producing countries will be held in Khanty-Mansiysk. It has traditionally been held in Ugra for several years already.

These international events were included into the Official Calendar of the Amateur Boxing World Association 6 years ago. The tournament was held in the capital of Samotlor and this year the World Cup is held in the regional center.  The status and prestige of the competitions should grow.

This year boxers from 12 countries confirmed their participation in the tournament  .

A week prior to the Cup the combined teams of Russia and Ugra started their preparation for the competitions. Twice Olympic Champion Alexei Tischenko in Khanty-Mansiysk has trainings for the coming competition as a member of the national team. In Khanty-Mansiykd he intends to compete in his weight category under 60 kg. Ruslan Kamilov, boxer from Nizhnevartovsk, silver-prize winner of the Russia’s Championships will defend the national team. Sportsmen of the Khanty-Mansiysk Okrug will compete in all the weight categories.

Boxers will compete not just foe the medals and title "Master of Sport of the International Class" but also for prize fund.

The first meeting of the Consultative-Political Council was chaired by Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko.

The participants of the meeting - leaders of the regional offices of the political parties - Alexander Drozdetski (LDPR), Alexander Sidorov (United Russia), Mikhail Serdyuk (Just Russia), Viktor Kononov (Communist Party), Yuri Shagut (Yabloko), Deputy Chair of the Regional  Public Chamber  Eduard Lebedev, Chair of the Regional Duma Vasili Sondykov, representatives of the Ugra State University Nikolai Pelikhov, Surgut State University - Mikhail Martynov, Nizhnevratovsk State Humanitarian University Andrei Litsuk, Deputy Chair of the Ugra Government Sergei Kuchin.

The Consultative-Political Council was founded at the  Governor to provide effective interaction and development of constructive dialogue among the regional executive authorities, political parties, non-governmental organizations while making decisions on important social, economic and political issues taking into account the people’s opinion.

At the first meeting the members of the Consultative-Political Council discussed the issue "On the Role of the Political Parties, Public Institutes in the implementation of the Address of Russia’s President Dmitri Medvedev and Address of Ugra Governor to people and Duma of the Autonomous Okrug".

He in detail informed members of the Council about the Okrug social and economic development, told about basic avenues of social politics, implementation of anti-crisis measures, proposed by Russia’s Government, and events to overcome negative consequences of the crisis in Ugra, about priorities of the regional government activities for the next year. "We survive the third financial and economic crisis. The main thing is to eliminate negative consequences together", - emphasized Governor.

Leaders of the regional offices of political parties, researchers in their reports approved the measures, proposed by President and head of the region on overcome of the financial and economic crisis, expressed several perspective proposals  for further modernization of the Okrug economy basic branches  in the post-crisis period and improvement of the community’s political life. It was made a decision that the following meeting of the  Consultative-Political Council at the Ugra Governor will be held in the form of discussions on determination of the interesting topics.

Tomorrow on December 17 in Ugra there will be held the gala closing ceremony  of the "Year of the Youth" in the frames of the traditional New Year party of a younger generation. This year its topic is "Youth of the World Peoples".

Over 300 people will participate in the New Year Youth party including leaders and specialists of departments and institutions working with the youth, leaders of the public organizations, winners of the All-Russia, regional contests and festivals, representatives of public chambers and parliaments, tourist organizations, mass media.

Delegations from the municipalities prepare costumes, stage performances of a country they represent, and also cook traditional national  food for tasting while the New Year program.
