The Okrug Governor’s
press-service informs:
"The key goal is to switch
to the main source of well-being of the region - to intellectual
resources of the youth who will bring new opportunities for the
progress", - said the head of the region Alexander Filipenko at the
awarding ceremony of the regional contest "Golden Future of Ugra" to
be held yesterday in Khanty-Mansiysk.
Governor said that education and
science had become priority directions in Ugra therefore such contests
were very important.
Alexander Filipenko emphasized
that the younger generation had more opportunities than 5-10 years
before. All necessary conditions are created to turn virtual ideas
into reality.
The quality of the works,
submitted to the contest, is growing from year to year.
This year Natalia Tarasevich
from the Surgut District was the best in the nomination "Manager of
the XXI century", young researchers of Ugra was Egor Sukhnat from
Nizhnevartovsk and the best specialist in social management - Nikolai
Rychkov from Megion.
Besides, the winners got Letters
of Governor’s Gratitude; 10 projects were awarded with diplomas.
The regional contest "Golden
Future of Ugra" is aimed at promoting to the civil initiative,
increase of creative activity and responsibility of the youth,
involving the youth into the implementation of programs of social and
economic development of the Autonomous Okrug in the XXI century,
search and national support for talented young specialists. Over 5
ths. young people have participated in the contest "Golden Future of
Ugra" in the age of 17-30 years old and 88 of them became finalists.

The exposition of paintings
by Honored Painter of Russia Nikolai Chesnokov was opened at the
House of the Regional Government. The first visitors say about the
unique technique of the painter and his perception of the environment.
Various paintings by Nikolai Chesnokov are exhibited - landscapes of
the Urals and Siberia, portraits. They are full of the admiration for
severe and beautiful nature, hard-working people with pure soul -
Northerners.
The exhibition at the Government
House is devoted to the coming Birthday of the Autonomous Okrug and
will last for two months.

Governor Alexander Filipenko
made a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony of the V Regional
Forum "Info World of Ugra" where journalists discuss the topic
"Regional mass media: new challenges, new opportunities".
The head of the region said that
the present economic situation made everyone work more actively and to
solve current problems by twice quicker. The additional impulse for
that was the article by President of Russia Dmitri Medvedev "Russia,
forward!" - the continuation of President’s Address to the Federal
Assembly.
"Mass media should become
propagandists of these ideas, to have an open and honest dialogue with
each citizen and society about ideology and mechanisms of Russia’s
modernization - a strategic task, determined by President", - said
Governor and that was the main idea of Governor’s address to mass
media representatives.
Alexander Filipenko in detail
told about key moments in social and economic policy of the regional
authorities, which required to be accompanied by mass media. It is
necessary to change psychology of people in the field of resources
saving. The example to it - attitude to pure water, heat and health of
citizens.
"I often try to provoke the
press to express their opinions and hope that mutual desire to make
our life in Ugra better", - admitted Alexander Filipenko. He wished
participants of the Forum fruitful work and said that journalists
would get additional information while listening to Governor’s Annual
Address.
Alexander Filipenko awarded the
winners of the creative contest with grants for the implementation of
new projects in the sphere of mass media. Director of the media
holding "Zapadnaya Sibir" from Langepas Sabirzhan Yunusbaev said that
the government of Ugra support mass media in reality not only by
words.
