The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko congratulated the workers of timber industry upon their professional holiday.

In the  speech of welcome it is said: "In timber sector and industry thousands of Ugra people worked and are working now. Due to their hard activities, rational attitude to national heritage forest resources of Ugra are restored, real conditions are created to preserve the most important source of future generations life".

Last year was marked with great positive changes in the activities of the Autonomous Okrug timber sector, caused by the improvement of the legislation in this sphere of economy, for example, transfer of authorities  about   forests management to the level of the RF constituent entity.

The work for adoption of the  Forest Plan of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra, Provisions and special programs which determine trends of timber sector development  is coming to the end".

The head of the region noted the dynamic growth of industrial output   in logging and wood-working industry, intensive technical re-equipment of big enterprises and small companies, formation of measures, aimed at increasing profit from the timber sector activities.

Governor of Ugra wished good health to veterans of the branch, success, new opportunities for the implementation of industrial and  vital plans, prospects, well-being and health  to everyone who works today in timber sector of the region.

Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko held a meeting with President of the JSC "Khanty-Mansiysk Bank", Chair of the Commission for Budget, Finances and Economic Policy of the Autonomous Okrug Duma Dmitri Mizgulin.

They discussed the issues of the implementation of social and economic projects and also prospects of further development of the top credit and financial institution of the region.

Dmitri Mizgulin said: "In spite of the complicated situation on the world financial markets the Khanty-Mansiysk Bank continues intensive development and achieves good results. A serious growth of indicators is fixed almost in all key trends. The organization annually serves over 2,5 million people and about 30 ths. companies. We are planning to increase the capitalization, to activate the application of new products, to increase the clients’ network up to 210 offices of sales".

Summing up the results of the meeting, the head of the region said about the contribution of the Khanty-Mansiysk Bank into the development of social and industrial infrastructure of Ugra, and emphasized that business and society only jointly could achieve necessary results in increase of the Okrug people’s life quality.
