The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

On September 07 Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko had a meeting with journalists of Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Tyumen and Khanty-Mansiysk.

About 500 representatives of printed and e-mass media participated in the press-conference with the head of the region, organized in the frames of the celebration of the Day of Oil and Gas Industry Workers and extraction of the nine billionth ton of oil in Ugra.

The first question concerned assessed indicators of the black gold extraction. Alexander Filipenko said that in 2007 in general in Russia the oil production reduced. This year the Autonomous Okrug managed to increase the final indicators by 2-2,5 million tons. "The anxiety of experts about oil production indicators in the country has reasons. It is impossible to change the situation quickly. In 2010 by forecast we should produce about 305-307 million tons of oil in Ugra and we can say today that we will not achieve these indicators as in time fields and reserves had not been put into operation into operation and transferred to the subsoil users".

Alexander Filipenko said that Ugra actively worked in several directions: increases real reserves of hydrocarbon reserves, increases coefficient of oil recovery, reduces taxation.

At the meeting with journalists Governor of Ugra also answered questions, which concerned the implementation of the program for rational use of associated petroleum gas, the project "Ural Industrial - Ural Polar", agreement on social and economic partnerships with St.Petersburg and implementation of the regional investment program and planned change of the Autonomous Okrug Government structure.

The JSC "Surgutneftegas" became the company of the year of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra in 2007.

It was announced at the   awarding ceremony in accordance with the results of the annual regional contest of oil- and gas-producing enterprises of the Autonomous Okrug "Black Gold of Ugra", held at the Concert and Theatre Center "Ugra-Classic".

Director General Vladimir Bogdanov was awarded by Ugra Governor Alexander Filipenko with the challenge cup "Company of the Year" and diploma of the winner of the contest "Black Gold of Ugra". The Contest commission decided to award the JSC "Surgutneftegas" with the chief award in the nomination "For efficiency of the work with subsoils".

This year in the nomination of the contest "For Social and Economic Partnerships" two enterprises -winners were determined. The best company with the annual volume of production up to 5 million tons of oil is the oil company "Magma", and "Slavneft  - Megionneftegas"- with the volume of production over 5 million tons of oil.  The company "LUKoil-Zapadnaya Sibir" became the best company about cooperation with the aboriginals of Ugra. JSC "RITEK" was recognized the most dynamically-developing enterprise with the annual volume of the production up to 1 million tons of oil and the company "Salym Petroleum Development N.B." was the best among companies - producers less than 5 million tons of oil.

All the nominees and winners were awarded by Alexander Filipenko with diplomas and souvenirs - symbols of the contest "Black Gold of Ugra".
