The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

Svetlana Sleptsova from Ugra, the leader of the  Biathlon World Cup score total, became the best sportswoman of Russia in accordance with the results of December.

In  the finale  she  won 54,6 % of voters of the TV channel "Sport" and visitors of the site SportBox.ru Albina Akhatova is the second after Albina Akhatova. By the way, Svetlana Sleptsova in March was acknowledged the best athlete of our country.

She automatically entered the semi-finale  of voting, which will determine the most successful sportsman of Russia according to the results of 2008. Whiel two days - on December 30 and 31 - viewers of the TV channel "Sport" and visitors of the site SportBox.ru will choose the Sportsman of the Year.

Voting will  be on lively broadcast  today in the frames of the program "Golden Pedestal" from 12.10 (Moscow time).

Professions  of foreigners who arrive at the Khanty-Mansiysk Okrug to work basically correspond to the needs of the labor market in Ugra.

Drivers of motor transport vehicles, builders and specialists of similar  spheres of activities, and also  unskilled workers are in great demand.

According to the data of the Division of the RF Federal Migration Service in Ugra as for December 25,   from the beginning of this year over 46,5 ths. work  permits have been issued in the Autonomous Okrug to foreigners including 4,6 ths. permits to people who arrived at Russia  under the visa regime.

While the year about 26 ths. notifications from enterprises and organizations who employ foreigners entered the migration service. Besides, over 270 notifications about long-term cancellation of labor agreements with people from CIS countries and foreign countries have been registered.
