The Okrug Governor’s
press-service informs:
Yesterday Governor of Ugra,
member of the State Council Presidium Alexander Filipenko in Moscow
participated in the joint meeting of the Security Council and State
Council of the Russian Federation.
It was held at the Georgievski
Hall of the Great Kremlin Palace and was chaired by President of
Russia Dmitri Medvedev. The agenda included the only issue "On Policy
of the Russian Federation on the space of the Commonwealth of
Independent States".
The head of the State in his
speech determined the basic avenues and priority goals for
strengthening and expanding cooperation between countries on the
post-Soviet space, concrete joint actions to overcome the consequences
of the world financial crisis, proposed new ideas of security
strengthening. President made an accent on the necessity of
development of mechanisms of actions coordination: "Interregional
links can become an important factor to counteract crisis phenomena,
which have already produced negative impact on economy of CIS
countries". He spoke about creation of new institutes and mechanisms
of the development after the financial crisis is finished. "The crisis
in any case will be finished, and we should be ready to launch new
projects with our neighbors", - emphasized Dmitri Medvedev. In his
opinion, the coordinated work should be done to improve the
legislation which regulates international and interregional
cooperation, to create conditions for expansion of foreign trade,
joint development of nature resources and creation of
inter-governmental infrastructure.
In the evening at the Andreevski
Hall of the Kremlin Governor and with his wife participated in the
reception oh behalf of the head of the State in connection with coming
New Year. That day Governor of Ugra returned to Khanty-Mansiysk.
