The Okrug Governor’s
press-service informs:
The President of the Russian
Tennis Federation Shamil Tarpischev expressed gratitude to Governor of
Ugra Alexander Filipenko for successful holding the All-Russia Tennis
Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk.
"Opening of the wonderful,
unique for Russia Tennis Center in Khanty-Mansiysk has become a great
event in the sports life not just of your region but also of all
Russian tennis community. I am deeply impressed by traditional
Siberian hospitality and lively human attention the guests and
participants of the Championships were surrounded by. Ugra has become
one of the rapidly-developing tennis regions of Russia. I am confident
that the Tennis Center in Khanty-Mansiysk will become another great
center for professionals and amateur of tennis and will give an
additional impulse to tennis development in the Autonomous Okrug.
Tennis is always where it is waited for and loved. Therefore I am
convinced that our joint efforts in the development of this wonderful
kind of sport will be awarded with new victories of new champions".
The official opening ceremony of
the new facility which does not have analogues in Russia regarding
size and capacity, was held on September 25 in the frames of the
All-Russia Tennis Championships.

The Okrug Governor’s
press-service informs:
Today in the morning Governor
of Ugra, member of the Presidium of the State Council Alexander
Filipenko left for Moscow to participate in the joint meeting of the
Security Council and State Council of the Russian Federation.
It will be chaired by President
of Russia Dmitri Medvedev at the Georgievski Hall of the Great Kremlin
Palace. The agenda includes the issue "On Policy of the Russian
Federation on the space of the Commonwealth of Independent States".
In the evening at the Andreevski
Hall of the Kremlin it will be hosted the reception oh behalf of the
head of the State where Governor and with his wife are invited to.
Today President will give a
certificate of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug Governor to
Alexander Filipenko.

The Okrug Governor’s
press-service informs:
The dance group "Caucasus"
from Nizhnevartovsk won the first prize at the II International
Festival of Children’s and Youth’s National Art "Rodniki", held in
December in Saint Petersburg. This year 46 groups from 15
countries of the world participated in the Festival.
The head of the Dagestan
Republic office in St.Petersburg Gasan Gasanov congratulated
Alexander Filipenko upon this victory of the dance group and said: "it
is a result of support by the leaders of the Autonomous Okrug to
multinational culture of the peoples living in Ugra".
