Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:
Yesterday at the Moscow office of the
Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko
hosted a Reception devoted to the coming New Year.
Representatives of the
President’s Administration, Russia’s Government, Council of Federation
and State Duma of the RF Federal Assembly, federal authorities, oil
companies, business-structures, veterans who participated in the
development
of Ugra resources, builders, power engineers, representatives of
creative and scientific intelligentsia.
In welcoming speech Alexander
Filipenko told about preliminary results of this year, prospects of
social and economic development of the Autonomous Okrug, thanked
everyone who cooperated this year with Ugra, thanked veterans for
their contribution into the Okrug development, congratulated guests
upon the coming New Year and Christmas.
Mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov and
First Deputy Chair of the Council of Federation Alexander Torshin said
many good words about the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra. They
mentioned the significant contribution of Ugra into economy and
budget of Russia, stable and continuous development of economy,
education, science, sport, culture in the Autonomous Okrug. Mayor of
Moscow greeted the guests in Mansi and Khanty languages what caused
applauds of the meeting participants.

On December 20 the Federal
Security Service of Russia will celebrate its 91-st anniversary.
Director of the Regional office
of the RF Federal Security Service over the Tyumen Region Sergei
Zaveiboroda said that peculiarities of Ugra Security Service employees
was caused by concentration of facilities in the fuel and energy
sector in the region, interest of foreign countries to them, great
migration process. In this regard key tasks of the Ugra office of the
RF Federal Security Service are the support of these facilities
safety, protection of citizens from terrorism and extremism,
counteraction to secret services of foreign countries, anti-corruption
activities, counteraction to trans-border criminal groups which are
engaged in drugs and arms distribution.
At the meeting, devoted to the
professional holiday of the regional office of the Security Service
Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko said: "Solving tasks to provide
security and stability in Ugra – a strategically significant region of
Russia, which determines the development of the country’s economic and
political life is a serious mission and you do your civic and
official duty. Your patriotism, permanent readiness to work under the
most complicated conditions guarantee protection of vital interests of
the Okrug, peace and well-being of our citizens. I wish you, dear
friends, success in your multilateral activities, aimed at preserving
consent in the society, dynamic positive reforms in Ugra and health
and optimism to you and your families. Let your dreams come true!"

The Okrug Governor’s
press-service informs:
The Nizhnevartovsk District
ranked the first in the III All-Russia contest among the
municipalities of the Russian Federation in the nomination "The best
municipality".
The selection was made in 15
nominations to determine the best municipality in the sphere of
providing the information support to the reform of local authorities,
the best municipal officer, best highlight in mass media of the local
authorities reform implementation, best practice of communal sector
management, best municipal district and etc.
This year 38 Russian regions
participated in the competition, the Nizhnevartovsk District became
the winner.
On November 17 at the Minor Hall
of the State Duma of the RF Federal Assembly the head of the District
Boris Salomatin was awarded with the diploma of the contest winner.
The All-Russia competition is
held annually and Ugra municipalities traditionally participate in it.
The Nizhnevartovsk District was represented for the third time. In
2006 Boris Salomatin ranked the third in the nomination "The best
mayor of the municipality".
