The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko left for Kurgan to participate in the Council of the Governors of Regions within the Urals Federal District.

It will be chaired by President of the Russian Federation Dmitri Medvedev and recently appointed Plenipotentiary representative of Russia’s President in the Urals Federal District Nikolai Vinnichenko. Minister of Regional Development Viktor Basargin will also participate in the meeting.

Participants of the meeting will inform the head of the State about social and economic development of the region, will discuss problems the constituent entities of the Federation face under conditions of the world financial crisis, will determine ways of the work for the nearest future.

Institutions of social sphere of Ugra won the gold and silver medals in the contest “Health and safety - 2008”. The awarding ceremony took place in the frames of the XII International Specialized Exhibition “Safety and Labor Protection - 2008” (Moscow).

Department for Labor and Social Support of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug Population is awarded with the diploma and medal for the system of training in labor safety in the region. Secondary school #13 of Nizhnevartovsk was awarded with the silver medal in the nomination “Systems of labor protection management, safety and professional risks management in the corporation”.

The financial crisis did not influence the number of participants of the exhibition “Small Business of Ugra”.

Deputy Chairman of the Autonomous Okrug Government for Investments and Innovations Kirill Morozov said about that at the awarding ceremony. “Today the State turned to entrepreneurship and made all the efforts for its support and development. For the Government of Ugra this direction has been  of priority for 13 years already”, - he emphasized.

The press-service of the Foundation of Ugra Entrepreneurship Support informed that at the exhibition 19 small and middle companies of the Autonomous Okrug got diplomas of the participants of the exposition “Small business of Ugra” and certificates for additional professional education.

The exposition “Small business of Ugra” is held in the frames of the XIII Regional exhibition-fair “Goods of Ugra” in Khanty-Mansiysk.
