The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

The political situation in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug is stable and predictable. Such conclusion was made by experts of the Committee for social and political analysis and public relations based on the monitoring, held in Ugra.

Public mood connected with financial and economic sustainability in the region is mostly stable.

 Regional and local authorities control the economic situation and undertake measures to prevent its negative consequences.

Specialists say that in some municipalities some categories of citizens worry because of gossips about the economic crisis – gossips about increase of prices for living goods and commodities, about mass cutting down staff not only in oil sector but also in budgetary sphere.

Altogether experts (75 people) from directors of enterprises, civil officers, employees of budgetary and off-budgetary sphere, representatives of public associations, interviewed by the regional sociological service in 15 municipalities of Ugra characterized the present situation in Ugra as "stable" (37 %) and "probably stable" (55 %).

In opinion of 45 % from the  experts, who were interviewed, the municipalities of the Autonomous Okrug do not experience consequences of the world economic crisis. 50 % said that the consequences "are notable but not significant".

On December 05-08 the advertisement tour "Beauty of Ugra" will be held in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug.

While four days about 30 journalists and tour operators from Yekaterinburg, Moscow, Novy Urengoi, Novosibirsk, Perm, Tobolsk, Chelyabinsk will get acquainted with Ugra where many kinds of tourism are being developed today including events, cultural, ethnographic, sports, extreme, hunting and fishing.

The program of the advertisement tour includes presentations of hotels and museums, entertaining center, trade and sports centers, business centers, tours and sightseeing in Nizhnevartovsk and Khanty-Mansiysk. Tours to Samotlor Lake and recreational center   "Dobrino", to the national settlement "Veryegan", Khanty people nomad camp, hunting for pheasants, safari by reindeer sledges and vehicles, tasting of national cuisine are planned for guests.

In the frames of the advertisement tour the press-conference is planned with the participation of the First Deputy Chairman of the Ugra Government for social policy Natalia Zapadnova.

The organizer of the tour for journalists and tour operators is Committee for Tourism of the Autonomous Okrug.
