On December 02 in Khanty-Mansiysk there were summed up the results of the regional contest "Golden Future of Ugra".

It has been held by the Committee for Youth Policy of the Autonomous Okrug since 2000 to support projects of the most talented young people of Ugra, to develop civil initiative and responsibility, to increase creative activity of the youth, to involve it to the implementation of the Autonomous Okrug social and economic development program in the 21 century.

At the awarding ceremony it was mentioned that while the "Golden Future of Ugra" over 4 ths. young people in the age of 17-30 years participated in this contest. 79 participants won in the competition.

This year the winner in the nomination "Manager of the XX century" was Natalia Chernyshova from Nizhnevartovsk. The best researcher of Ugra us Vyacheslav Kotov from Surgut and the best employee in social management - Oleg Surmach from Nizhnevartovsk. "The future of this contest winners and participants is more perspective and promising than young people have who did not participate in the contest. Therefore the fact of the participation should be considered positive. It is a new positive experience which is necessary for self-perfection, career in the future profession, finding your own place in life", - said Deputy Chairman of the Government for education, science and external relations Alexei Mayorov at the awarding ceremony.

10 projects which were highly assessed by the Expert Council but were not finalists were awarded with diplomas.

In accordance with the Provisions about the contest, its winners; internships will be paid and organized at the top European universities in relevant direction or grants in the amount of 450 ths. rubles will given to implement one’s own project. Three finalists who won the 2nd positions can have training at the top Russian higher educational institutions or to use grants in the amount of 150 ths. rubles for the implementation of a project. Young people with the third position are provided with a tourist voucher or valuable gift in the amount of 60 ths. rubles.
