The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

Today before the conference of the Council of Yugra Governor on scientific, technical and innovative activity of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug meeting of the Governor Alexander Filipenko and rector of National Economy Academy of the RF Government of Vladimir Mau was held.

Deputy chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Okrug on issues of investments and innovations Kirill Morozov, participating at the meeting, reported that for 6 months of team-work with Academy report about innovative program of Yugra for the period 2007-2011 and draft of the corresponding law of the Okrug had been prepared.

Head of the region told the interlocutor about plans of economy diversification of the Autonomous Okrug, mentioned that they are directed not to weaken attention to oil and gas sector, but to intensify hydrocarbon processing and develop timber processing.

Other problems of improvement of financial, economic and tax mechanisms, development of small business were discussed at the meeting.

In September-December the Okrug competition for people with limited physical abilities will be held in Yugra.

Festive start of the event will be held on the stadium of Khanty-Mansiysk on September 18.

Teams of the municipal entities of the Autonomous Okrug during 3 months will compete in 6 kinds of sports in different age categories. For the elderly disabled people athletics, power lifting, volleyball, football, table tennis, swimming competitions will be held. Young participants under 23 will compete in 3 table tennis, swimming and athletics competitions.

Yugra people - members of teams of Russia, Europe, World on above-mentioned sports and participants of Olympic Games which were held in Sidney and Athens will participate in competitions.
