The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:
 Large
group of journalists - representatives of top mass media fro nearest
and foreign countries has come to the capital of Yugra.
Visit is organized on initiative of information
agency ITAR-TASS, which expressed wish to represent one of the most
dynamically developing regions of Russia - Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous
Okrug in world mass media.
Acquaintance with Yugra started from the meeting of
the heads of information agencies of Azerbaijan , Armenia, Moldova,
Byelorussia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Japan with Governor of the
Autonomous Okrug Alexander Filipenko. He told in detail about Yugra
history, continuous development of its economy and as a result
becoming of the region of the basic oil and gas province of the
country.
 Journalists
asked Governor about demographic policy more detailed and about all
what is made by bodies of state and municipal powers in this
direction. Figures of natural growth of the population impressed
greatly, rather high lifetime (in comparison with Russian indices),
low infant mortality. Alexander Filipenko stressed that everything had
been achieved by socially oriented policy which is cultivated in the
Okrug, by numerous programs, directed to solve problems of all
categories of citizens.
Guests asked about problem decisions of
unemployment, criminality, housing provision of youth, how the
tolerance of people co-existence of 124 nationalities, living in the
Okrug is made.
Besides, comprehensive discussion about political
reforms, communications with mass media, realization of program of
nationals migration from nearest and foreign countries was made.
