The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:
On September 7-9 the youngest town of
Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Pokachi will celebrate its 15th
anniversary. Yugra Governor Alexander Filipanko congratulated townsmen
on this memorable event.
Since the beginning of the current year events,
devoted to the birth date of municipal entity have been held in
educational, cultural and sports institutions. Book “Pokachi: 15 years
which have become an epoch” is published, collection of poems of
regional poets is prepared to be published.
During festive days a great number of entertainment
programs, lazer show and fiery fireworks are prepared for townsmen.
Outdoor side-show will operate for young Pokachi children, game
contest programs will be held in children’s park and at the central
square of the town. Russian stage stars, sportsmen – athletes brothers
Valievs – candidates of Guinness World Records book will participate
in celebration of 15th anniversary. Procession will pass along the
streets, 17 enterprises and institutions of Pokachi will participate
there. Festive column will be headed by brass band, all participants
of anniversary procession will be represented by own trappings. After
finishing at the stage every delegation will congratulate the town and
its townsmen on memorial date.

Recently presentation of film “Agitbrigada “Bei
vraga!” was held in Khanty-Mansiysk.
Before film showing Yugra Governor Alexander
Filipenko, film producer Vitaly Melnikov, actors Viktor Sukhorukov,
Kirill Pirogov, Nikita Leitland, Anna Danilova and project producers
Andrei Zertsalov and Olga Agrafenina greeted the Yugra people.
Actors told the audience about history of film
making, about atmosphere in which the film was shot.
Star actor Viktor Sukhorukov addressed
Khanty-Mansiysk people with words of admiration to area, its people
and cooperation with “Agitbrigada “Bei vraga!” film producer.
Producer stressed that the film and book are
biographical. He has lived at this land, finished school there.
Therefore it’s a pleasure for him that the Government of the
Autonomous Okrug has directly participated in making of film about
life of Yugra people in distant wartimes.
