The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

Today the conference "Biosphere reserves in Russian in XXI century: contribution to the stable development and keeping of biologic and ethnocultural variety of Russia in the context of global changes" started in Khanty-Mansiysk.

Its organizers are as follows: Commission of Russian Federation on issues of UNESCO, Ministry of Natural Resources, Russian committee on the UNESCO program "Man and biosphere" and Government of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug.

In March of the current year a festive ceremony of branch opening of Commission on issues of UNESCO with participation of its chairman – Minister of Foreign affairs Sergei Lavrov and Governor of the Autonomous Okrug Alexander Filipenko was held in Khanty-Mansiysk.

Taking into account the fact that Yugra is a member of many large international projects, minister has initiated holding of All-Russian conference on biosphere reserves in Khanty-Mansiysk.

On the results of the conference in Yugra Declaration, directed to improve efficiency of work of Russian biosphere reserves on stable management of natural resources and keeping of biologic and ethnocultural variety, will be adopted.

On Saturday Yugra Governor Alexander Filipenko took part in the great concert, devoted to the 10th anniversary of Center of arts of the talented children of the North.

Head of the region congratulated the students and teachers on the memorable data and told them in brief about foundation and realization of the Center.

Governor wished the Center of arts of the talented children of the North to be an example for other institution regarding every effort which had been made to organize its activity and work which had been made.

For significant contribution in culture and art development in the Autonomous Okrug, achieved creative success 18 employees of the Center of arts were granted with thanks letters of Yugra Governor, 10 teachers were thanked by Minister of Culture and Mass Communications of Russia.

Performance of students of the Center were the decoration of the evening. During the great concert philharmonic orchestra, brass band, jazz orchestra, chamber chorus represented their mastership. Fragments of famous opera and ballet plays, choreographic plays were represented at the scene, music compositions, performed by laureates of different contests were played.

Yugra Governor Alexander Filipenko congratulated Pavel Kukushkin on winning at the elections of Urai head.

Past Sunday, on October 7, 9129 people or 52.79% of all people, participated in the elections, voted for him. For information, attendance of electorate was rather high – 53.87% town people, having the vote, expressed their civil position.

In the telegram the Governor wished new head of Urai success in problems solving of dynamical social and economic development of the town and Autonomous Okrug, inexhaustible creative energy to improve life quality of people, trusting him, realization of all what had been planned for the prospect.
