Today Governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug Alexander Filipenko met with business group director of infrastructure of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Thomas Maier.

Parts discussed the process of projects realization in the municipal entities of Ugra which are supported by Bank in the frameworks of signed agreements.

For information, partnership relations of a large financial organization and the region have been existing since 2002. In March of the current year three documents on cooperation, directed  to modernize housing and communal sphere of populated localities of the Autonomous Okrug were signed between Ugra and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Ugra Governor Alexander Filipenko met with the Chairman of Russian Union of Insurers, State Duma deputy Alexander Koval.

Issues of insurance system development, including insurance company "Yugoria" were discussed there. According to Alexander Koval there are approximately ten companies with authorized capital in the sum of over 1 billion rubles. "Yugoria" is unique because it is the only regional company which has a branch in the capital of the country.

On November 17, Ugra Governor Alexander Filipenko took part in festive events devoted to the 10th anniversary of the JSC SIC "Yugoria".

For information, "Yugoria"  was founded in November 1997 on the basis of the Okrug law "On regional insurance company". Its founder and 100-% shareholder is State Property Department, and Governor, Chairman of the Government of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug Ugra Alexander Filipenko headed the committee of directors.

The head of the region awarded decorations, diplomas and letters of thanks to the best employees of "Yugoria". Director General of the SIC "Yugoria" Vladimir Volkov was awarded the letter of thanks of Ugra Governor.

The head of the company mentioned that one of the strategic objectives for the administration of "Yugoria" is to be among 10-top largest insurers of Russia.

Today according to Federal service of insurance control "Yugoria" takes the 16th position among the largest Russian insurers. It was mentioned that it is planned to expand branch system of "Yugoria". Thus, in 2008 17 branches of the company (predominatingly in the Central and Siberian federal districts) will be opened, the total number will amount to 70.
