The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

On November 7, joint meeting of Superior Council and General Council Presidium of the "Edinaya Rossia" (United Russia) party in which Ugra Governor Alexander Filipenko took part, was held in Moscow.

Opening the meeting chairman of the party Boris Gryzlov presented party-membership cards to new members of "Edinaya Rossia" Yury Trutnev and Vyacheslav Fetisov. Certificates of candidates for deputies of State Duma were presented to Alexander Filipenko, Yury Luzhkov, Mintimer Shaimiev, Vyacheslav Pozgalyev, Leonid Polezhaev, Yury Trutnev, Sergei Shoigu, Alexander Zhukov, Elena Lapshina and Evgeny Savchenko. They lead regional lists of candidates of "Edinaya Rossia" party.

Participants of the meeting discussed the problem "Objectives of the party at the period of elections of deputies of RF State Duma of the Vth convocation". Basic peculiarity of the present election campaign - on December 2, a certain referendum, supporting a national leader Vladimir Putin, was stressed in numerous reports. Explanatory work among the population, carried out by activists of the party at the preparation period for elections,  is based on it. Provision of high attendance of electors is one of the most important objectives according to members of "Edinaya Rossia".

Khanty-Mansiysk is among the candidates in the category "Best town in the Russian Federation regarding economic indices"  in All-Russian contest of social and economic development of Russia "Zolotoi rubl" (Golden ruble).

Yakutsk, Irkutsk, Rostov-na-Dony, Veliky Novgorod, Tver and Perm are among the candidates along with regional center of Ugra.

For information, contest "Zolotoi rubl" is held, approving by the Russian President Vladimir Putin. Awarding ceremony of laureates will be held on December 6, at State Kremlin Palace. Towns-laureates will be awarded with special prizes - statuette "Zolotoi rubl". It should be mentioned that Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra has become a laureate of this contest twice.

Yesterday Ugra Governor Alexander Filipenko met with the Minister of Natural resources Yury Trutnev in Moscow.

They discussed prospects of joint work of the Government of the Autonomous Okrug and NRM on further development of branches, providing stability in the work of fuel and energy complex of Ugra and variants of interaction in the process of realization of mega project "Ural promyshlenny - Ural Polyarny".

Issues of provision of social significance objects defence from emergencies were discussed by State Defence and Emergency Situations Minister Sergei Shoigu and Ugra Governor Alexander Filipenko during working visit in Moscow.

During the meeting the head of the region informed the minister about the work of the Government of the Autonomous Okrug, concerning development of population's defence service, strengthening of its material basis and formation of structural departments staff. According to the Governor, today system of prevention and timely liquidation of emergency situations outcomes has been founded and is operating successfully.

Segei Shoigu expressed his gratitude to Ugra Governor for planned work on making all necessary conditions for successful work of the departments of ministry on the territory of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug.
