Meeting of the coordinating council on international, external economic and interregional relations which was held by the Governor of the Autonomous Okrug Alexander Filipenko, was held in Ugra.

Participants of the meeting expressed their wish to adopt the program moving an amendment before its adoption at the Government of the Autonomous Okrug.

Head of the region supported the decision and stressed the importance of external relations developing of Ugra.

Ugra Governor Alexander Filipenko hold a meeting of coordinating council on productive forces development.

Participation of Ugra in the project developing "Transasian corridor of development" was among the issues of discussion. According to the expert counselor of the Chairman of the Autonomous Okrug Government Evgeny Ostapenko the project has been discussed in Russia, Central Asia during the several years. The project provides foundation of powerful transport, water, energetic, humanitarian corridor, connected lower and middle Pre-Ob districts with the republics of Middle, Central and South Asia, Persian Gulf countries.

\the head of the region stressed the special importance of this project and pay attention that it is necessary for Ugra to participate in its realization. Alexander Filipenko recommended to coordinate the work in this direction with the Ministry of RF regional development, to hold scientific and practical conference "Transasian corridor of development. Interest and distribution of the Russian Federation" in the frameworks of the V International investment forum "Ugra-2008".

Biathlete Dmitry Yaroshenko, represented Khanty-Mansiysk, was recognized by viewers of "Sport" TV channel as the best Russian athlete of December.

In pooling rating he took 41.4% of viewers support, exceeding his colleague Ekaterina Urjeva.

This year Dmitry Yaroshenko will finish on the second position in the general set of World cup, yielding to Norwegian Ole Einar Bjorndalen.

On December 24, Ugra Governor Alexander Filipenko took part in the meeting which was held by representative of the RF President in the UrFD Petr Latyshev.

Results of elections of State Duma deputies of Russia were discussed at the meeting, objectives for the nearest presidential campaign was set.

Petr Latyshev also discussed with the heads of the regions the issues of preparation for the visit of vice premier of the RF Dmitry Medvedev to the Ural Federal District. His arrival is planned on the end of January - beginning of February 2008.
