The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

Today Ugra Governor Alexander Filipenko was represented modified L-410 aircraft model in the airport of Khanty-Mansiysk.

This model had been mass produced by Czech aircraft builders since 1970 and had been successfully used in Russian air. Modified aircraft is equipped with common complex of equipment of joint Soviet-Czechoslovakian production and is used to transport 19 passengers at 380 km/h speed and less. Modern construction of the aircraft provides high standard and comfort for passengers, allows to use it in different modifications as follows: patrol, intelligence, saloon variant, cargo version, aviation rescue service, ambulance and landing variant. Association AIRCRAFT INDUSTRIES plans that Ugra will be interested in forthcoming of this craft at its internal lines because it also has a short start and can land on concrete and ground aerodrome.

On December 10, festive meeting, devoted to the 77th anniversary of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug foundation, was held in the Okrug center.

Heads of the municipal entities of Ugra, representatives of the Federal Assembly of the RF, deputies of State Duma, representatives of executive authority bodies of the Autonomous Okrug and business societies took part in the celebrations.

This evening the master of construction branch of Ugra, Hero of Socialistic Labour Georgy Prozorov, master of oil- and gas-producing industry of the Autonomous Okrug Ivan Rynkovsky were awarded the title "Honored person of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug" for fruitful labour of many years, significant contribution to social and economic development of the Autonomous Okrug and in connection with the anniversary of its foundation.

Deputy Chairman of the Okrug Duma - chairman of Assembly of representatives of indigenous small-in-number peoples of the North Eremei Aipin, boxing coach-teacher of specialized children and youth school of Olympic reserve (Nizhnevartovsk) Vasily Volf, director general pf the company "LUKoil - Zapadnaya Sibir" Nikolai Inushin, chief geologist - deputy director general of the JSC "Surgutneftegas" Nikolai Medvedev, first deputy Chairman of Ugra Government Vyacheslav Novitsky were awarded the badge "For services to Okrug".

The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

20 061 Ugra newborns are registered by registry office of Ugra for 11 months of the current year - it increased by 1000 newborns in comparison with the corresponding period of the previous year.

It is expected that their size will amount to 21 800 - by 1300 more than in 2006. In September 1.5-million inhabitant was born in Ugra, growth will amount to 1333 people till the new year.

The number of weddings is growing as well. 15 600 couples will celebrate their weddings, it is by approximately 250 weddings more than in the previous year.

Governor, Chairman of Ugra Government Alexander Filipenko has signed an decree about foundation of art expert council on folk art crafts of the Autonomous Okrug.

Council comprises qualified specialists in the sphere of arts and crafts, representatives of culture bodies, state institutions, creative organizations, art critics, Ugra ethnographers.

New body will assist organizations and masters of the Autonomous Okrug to create economic, social conditions, to assist in creative development of groups and masters, to take part in working out of scientifically based regional policy and to hold measures directed to keep, revive and develop folk art crafts, to improve legal regulations in the sphere of national cultural heritage and traditions keeping.

The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

Commission on issues of pardon of Governor's Administration of the Autonomous Okrug will hold its regular meeting on December 13.

It will observe two petitions of convicts. Young people in the age of 25 and 21 have served a half of their term for robbery and brigandage. They appeal to short their term in correction.

But Administration of correction doesn't endorse their appeal for pardon.
