Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:
Ugra Governor Alexander Filipenko met with national
artist of Russia, head of group "Russkaya pesnya"(Russian song) Nadezhda
Babkina.
For information, on November 25-30 All-Russian
festival marathon "Pesni Rossii" in which famous group of prestigious
singer took part, was held in Ugra. Federal agency for culture and
cinematography and Government of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug
were the organizers of the festival.
During the meeting with the head of the region
Nadezhda Babkina shared her impressions about staying in Ugra and told
about her creative plans.

Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:
Since January 1, 2008, quotas for the disabled
people placement are established for Ugra organizations.
In general, the number of working places to recruit
invalids will amount to
8171
for organizations, placed on the territory of the Autonomous Okrug, with
100 employed people and more.
Size of the established quota (2 % of the total
number of the employed) comprises working places at which invalids had
been accepted for employment and number of working places, specially
opened for employment.

Pupils and students of the Khanty-Mansiysk
Autonomous Okrug, learning Ob Ugrian people's languages are awarded Ugra
Governor's grant.
Candidates of the premium are active participants of
subject contests, different thematic contests, scientific conferences,
developers of social projects, using language knowledge.
17 young people took part in the selection including
11 winners. Size of the Governor's grant varies from 20 to 70 ths.
rubles. These means can be used to purchase different software,
school-books, probations, participation in ethnographic festivals and
expeditions.

Delegation of Alberta Province (Canada) which will
work in Ugra as experts of "NORDEP" program realization, has arrived to
Khanty-Mansiysk.
For information, in 2006 Canada Government initiated
a project of Canadian-Russian cooperation in the sphere of northern
territories development. Ugra is defined as a target region to
participate in the Program. To study Canadian experience of regional
economy development as a northern territory in spring of 2007 delegation
of Economic Policy Department of the Autonomous Okrug visited Alberta
Province where several meetings and presentations with different
Ministries were held. Issues of interaction of province and federal
center, business planning, support of indigenous peoples, prospects of
trade policy, structure of economy and cluster policy of province were
discussed there.
Return visit of the delegation
consisting of representatives of social and economic policy of Alberta
government, independent experts are planned to introduce some priority
directions of activity of the Autonomous Okrug Government to the guests
and to represent total strategy of social and economic development of
the region development till 2020, stressing cluster policy in timber
complex development. Visit to LVL and skeleton-type housing plants in
Nyagan was planned for this purpose.
