The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

For two weeks already in Russia the voting has taken place in the interactive poll "Top best people. Country is Voting", organized by the Federal encyclopedia "The best people of Russia".

According to the data in the evening on September 12, 2006 on the official site of the encyclopedia (www.llr.ru): 2502 people participated in the voting process and the results are: 470 people voted for the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, 242 - for the Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko, 39 - for the Governor of the Tyumen Oblast Vladimir Yakushev, 13 people - for the Governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The voting is in the nomination "Policy".

In the nomination "Sports" the leader is the Olympic champion from Khanty-Mansiysk Evgeni Dementiev. 124 of 453 people voted for him, 45 - for Alexei Nemov.

By the recommendation of the Department of Labor and Population’s Social Protection the director of the Center of social support to family and children "Kardea" Svetlana Zolotukhina (Nizhnevartovsk) and director of the Rehabilitation Center for children and teenagers with limited abilities "Luchik" Tatyana Sigaeva (Khanty-Mansiysk) will be included into the encyclopedia.

On the eve of their professional holiday employees of the timber industry of Ugra are summing up the preliminary results of this year.

This year became innovational and experimental by many indicators for Ugra which is possessed of ¼ of all the forests in Russia.

The JSC "Yugorski timber holding" logged timber and constructed forest roads in summertime for the first time. The purchase of new tractors, made by the Swedish company "Ponce", hauling rigs, and loaders promoted to the change of the technologies. The holding actively promotes to the development of middle and small business in the sphere of timber logging. At the same time it solves the problem of employment for people - inhabitants of remote taiga localities.

The JSC "Regional timber company "Koda-Les" will transfer to the Finnish gauge technology of timber logging with the application of the purchased equipment of John Dir company.

The production is growing and the range of modern construction and furnishing materials is being expanded. Their quality is growing, and that strengthens the competitiveness of Ugra production on the European and American markets.

An important milestone of the branch development was singing in July the Agreement between the Government of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug and JSC "Managing company "Avantazh Capital" (Moscow) about cooperation in the pre-investment researches on the project of the pulp and paper plant construction at the Oktyabrski District. It was made a decision to construct the plant to produce chipboards at the Sovetski District (150 ths. cubic m per year and 130 ths. of them are laminated). Both enterprises will use low-grade timber.

The wooden houses construction is developed. The Ugra Holding will construct the company "LVL Stroyproekt" in Nyagan which will produce 80 ths. sq. m of housing per year. The delivery of equipment for the plant is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2007. The same project, based on Finnish technologies, is carried out by the "Koda Les" company. Besides, the Government of Ugra signed the agreements with the Canadian company "Nascor" about the construction of wooden houses in rural localities and Okrug suburbs by its technology, successfully applied in many countries.

The new tradition is being born at the International Festival of TV Programs and TV Films "Golden Tambourine" in Khanty-Mansiysk.

The famous film director, author of many musicals, chairman of the Festival jury "Golden Tambourine-2005" Evgeni Ginzburg will bring to Ugra his new musical "Poor baby". Its first night will take place on September 27 at the Grand Hall of the Concert and Theatre Center "Ugra-Classic". Last year the Festival participants and guests watched the first night of the musical melodrama "Anna" where Lyubov Kazarnovskaya starred.

Evgeni Ginzburg gathered famous actors in his movie - Armen Dzhigarkhanyan, Valeri Garkalin, Maria Aronova, Yuri Galtsev, Alexander Lazarev-Junior, Yulia Rutberg. They will sing and dance in the costumes, made by Valentin Yudashkin. There are 15 songs and dances, irony for the modern life in the movie.

"It is about us - how we live", - said Armen Dzhigarkhanyan who played the role of Mole.

On February 24-March 2, 2007 the V International Festival of Cinematographic Debuts "Spirit of Fire" will be held in the capital of Ugra.

The relevant decree was signed by Governor, Chairman of the Government of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug Alexander Filipenko. The decree includes the members of the Organizing Committee, provisions, schedule of events on organizing and conducting the Festival, list of official film areas. The Festival President is appointed the People’s Artist of Russia, film director, professor Sergei Soloviev.

The main goals of the Festival are to increase the cultural activity, to attract creative forces of Russia, CIS and foreign countries for cooperation, to make the creative process more active in the Okrug, to create conditions for the new generation of the Russian cinematographers.

The Festival founders are the Government of Ugra, Federal Agency of Culture and Cinematography, Administration of Khanty-Mansiysk, Culture and Educational center "Studio CAC". The Festival of Cinematographic Debuts "Spirit of Fire" is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Mass Communications of the RF and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RF.
