The results of the VI Okrug contest "Black gold of Ugra" are summed up in Khanty-Mansiysk.

It was devoted to the Day of Oilmen and Gasmen and is aimed at encouraging the best employees of the top branch of industry in the Autonomous Okrug.

This year 36 enterprises of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug participated in the contest. The winner in the nomination "For cooperation with the aboriginals" is the company JSC "LUKoil-Zapadnaya Sibir", in the nomination "For the social and economic partnership" - JSC "Slavneft - Megionneftegas". The most dynamically-developing enterprise with the annual output of oil production - 5 million tons of oil is the company "Aganneftegasgeology" and the best gas-processing plant of the Autonomous Okrug is the enterprise "Surgutski plant of condensate stabilization of the JSC "Surgutgasprom".

At the awarding ceremony Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko said: "The transiency of events and time in Ugra are very obvious and therefore the changes are very noticeable. For a short historic period of time our Northern region has turned into the energy heart of Russia. 57 % of the Russian oil total are produced here, over 66 billion kW/h of electric power are generated, the regional gross product amounted to over 1 trillion rubles. We are approaching to the record mark - 9 billion tons of oil which will be produced in our Okrug in 2007 according to our calculations. I would like to say great thanks for all these achievements to you, whom we are obliged for this success". The head of the region awarded the winners with diplomas, souvenirs-symbols of the contest, badges, made of silver and gold, prizes in the amount of 50 ths. rubles. The JSC "Samotlorneftegas" of the JSC "TNK-BP Holding" became "Company-2005". Alexander Filipenko awarded it with the cup and diploma of the winner of the contest "Black Gold of Ugra". Besides, the enterprise "Samotlorneftegas" became the winner in the nomination "For efficiency of the work with subsoil". According to the results of 2004 the JSC "LUKoil-Zapadnaya Sibir" was the "Company of the Year".

In honor of the winners of the "Black Gold of Ugra" contest the concert was organized at the Skiing Center with the participation of Russian and foreign pop-singers, folk and dancing groups of Ugra.

On September 8 the IV Annual Bowling Tournament among employees of mass media, devoted to the International Day of Journalists’ solidarity.

12 teams from town and Okrug newspapers, journals, radio and TV stations and companies demonstrated their sports skills at the Bowling-club of the entertainment center "Territory of the First". After the hard struggle the winner was the TV and radio company "Ugoria".The team of the newspaper from Nyagan "Yugorskoye vremya" took the second place. The team "Fountain of oil" from the news and entertaining newspaper "Fountain" took the third place. The winners were awarded with prizes from the General sponsor of the tournament - JSC "Sibneft-Khantos". The team of the newspaper "Yugorskoye vremya" deserved another special prize of the Okrug Governor’s press-service for their fans to be the most active.

Alexander Komarov (team "Fountain of oil") and Diana Volkova (team "Kinder-Ugra") were the best in the individual competition.

In Ugra while the implementation of the national project "Education" the improvement of educational process in rural localities is given the priority.

At present the steamer is going around the populated localities of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug. The best teachers of Russia, winners of the federal contests from Bryansk, Maikop, Lyubertsy, Syktyvkar, Tobolsk, Surgut are on board a steamer.

The route of the steamer is via the villages of the Khanty-Mansiysk, Oktyabrski, Berezovski, Beloyarski Districts, towns of Nyagan under the slogan "Innovations of the Best to each school".

The participants of the educational raid will give master-classes and workshops for their colleagues from Ugra. Rural teachers will attend the special lessons of the Russian language, literature, Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy, Mathematics, Biology and Geography.

The Russian mass media will tell about meetings, aimed at experience exchange of teachers in the Autonomous Okrug - "Teachers’ newspaper" and journal "Ogonyok" by the channel of the Okrug TV and radio company "Ugra". Journalists of these editorial offices participate in the educational trip which will last until September 18.
