On September 5 in Nizhnevartovsk (Ugra) the Days
of the Russian Literature were opened. "Wealth of the Earth - wealth
of the soul" - the topic of the event. The hosts are Union of Russia’s
Writers, Union of Ugra Writers, Government of Ugra. The participation of
Russian writers is a revived tradition which was started over 30 years
ago by the Union of USSR Writers. In Nizhnevartovsk at the beginning of
the 70-s last century the first team of writers came. Then due to the
numerous publications in the central press and journals all the country
learnt the names of the first explorers of Ugra oil and the beginning of
the formation of the powerful West-Siberian fuel and energy industry.
The consultant of the Okrug Governor’s press-service,
a member of the Union of Russian Writers Galina Khoros informed by
telephone that special interest of representatives of the writers is
caused by the changes which had occurred in Ugra for these 30 years and
how they had influenced the fates of people whose labor provided and
provides today the welfare of our state.
Writers seriously discussed that for the last twenty
years the topic of human labor, high spirituality has lost its position
in the creativity of Russian writers and today "everyone should think it
over again, be filled in with new visual and emotional impressions, to
understand - why have not any books about oilmen’s heroic labor been
written and published". The talk was about that at the meeting with the
Mayor of Nizhnevartovsk Boris Khokhryakov. The members of the Writers’
Union said that they "had come to the reserve where people are working".
Ugra today is the support for the Motherland, and therefore new books
about people of labor should be born there. Boris Khokhryakov expressed
the readiness to render support to people of creative work in search for
heroes and characters and propaganda of high moral principles.,
Today the team of writers had a meeting with the
people of Izluchinsk and Megion.
