The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

Today the Day of Political repressions victims is celebrated in Russia.

By the decision of the Government of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra people, who were rehabilitated and people who suffered from political repressions will get 500 rubles each from the budget of the Autonomous Okrug by this date.

In Khanty-Mansiysk, Surgut, Nizhnevartovsk, Nefteyugansk, Oktyabrski District, Kondinski District, Khanty-Mansiysk District there are 2 213 rehabilitated citizens.

The legal and moral assessment of the state terror against the people was given 15 years ago for the first time in the federal law "On Rehabilitation of Political Repressions Victims", adopted on October 18, 1991 for rehabilitation and restoration of political repressions victims in civil rights, compensation of material and moral damage. The document states the necessity of liquidation of terror consequences, the legal and social guarantees for rehabilitees.

The meetings of memory, devoted to this date, will be held in the Okrug towns.

On October 28 the expanded meeting of the Public council on control over the implementation of the priority national projects was held in Yekaterinburg and chaired by the plenipotentiary representative of Russia’s President in the Urals Federal District.

The towns of Khanty-Mansiysk, Salekhard, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen, Kurgan participated in the mode of videoconference.

Representatives of public organizations of constituent entities of the Urals Federal District, executive and legislative authorities, mass media participated in the hearings.

The meeting was opened by the assistant of the plenipotentiary representative of Russia’s President in the Urals Federal District Bois Kirillov. He said that the population does not have a clear idea about the implementation of the priority national project "Health".

The assistant of the plenipotentiary representative of Russia’s President in the Urals Federal District Vladimir Krupkin said that it was necessary to be concentrated on the assessment of the situation, connected with the change of provided medical services quality, and to analyze how the budgets of 2007 take into account the task about increase of co-financing, put by President.

While the public hearings there were considered the issues of the participation of regional and municipal public authorities and institutes of the civil society in the implementation of the priority national project "Health" and demographic policy in the Urals Federal District.

It was considered the issue about information support to priority national projects, reverse connection with the population. The Chair of the Information Resources Committee of the Governor’s Administration Natalia Maslova made a report and mentioned one citation from the Address of Russia’s President to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation: "one of the sharpest problem of the country is the increase of the population’s trust level to the power" and said that the web-site of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug is a reliable supplier of the information services to the population. The monitoring proved that 30 % of the Okrug news are connected with the implementation of national projects.

Summing up the results of the meeting, Vladimir Krupkin proposed to think about holding the conference for mass media to improve the quality of national projects highlighting.

Today the First Deputy Chairman of the Ugra Government Natalia Zapadnova chaired the meeting of the Interdepartmental commission on labor protection at the Okrug Government where the implementation of the events, aimed at improving labor conditions and protection, was discussed.

In accordance with the official data for 9 months the rate of production traumatism with the lethal outcome was decreased by 20%, and with the heavy outcome - by 46%. Natalia Zapadnova said that half of the registered accidents come to organizations which are not related to the Autonomous Okrug and are registered in other regions. They do not pay the single social tax violating the labor and tax legislations. Great attention was paid by the Commission to the increase of the level of traffic safety - 1/3 of the people perished come to car accidents. The commission listened to the reports made by leaders of firms which had admitted accidents and information of the Head of the Road Traffic Inspection Sergey Algazin.

The members of the Interdepartmental commission considered also the issues of the special danger facilities, support to enterprises in training in labor protection and attestation of working places in compliance with labor conditions, and also the necessity of holding extra medical examinations of citizens, working in harmful conditions - these examinations are stipulated by the Okrug program on the implementation of the national priority project in the sphere of healthcare.
