Today in Prague at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Czech Republic it as held the working meeting of Ugra Governor Alexander Filipenko, members of the official delegation of the Autonomous Okrug and Embassador of Russia Alexei Fedotov.

The Ambassador and Governor of the Autonomous Okrug held the press-conference for Czech and accredited Russian journalists. Alexander Filipenko in detail told about the goal of the Ugra delegation visit. He said: “Our visit does not mean that we just start our relations and cooperation – they have a long story. Ugra is not just a region with dynamically-developing economy, and also a great market for consumer goods and commodities, activities of construction organizations, development of banking sector, for research, cultural and tourist exchanges. WE see our task in creating conditions in the Okrug to attract investors to different spheres of economy and life. Trust is the basis of business and it can appear only after acquaintance and communications in practice”.

Answering the question – what is interesting in Czech for Siberia – Governor told about tourism development, and expressed confidence that the Czech experience is very interesting for this new branch of Ugra economy. Speaking about business links, Alexander Filipenko said that enterprises of Ugra actively purchase Czech transport vehicles, including passenger ones, road equipment. They are interested in small capacious aerotechnics to be used in short and internal airlines. Governor considers  possible the participation of Czech experts in the housing construction in the Okrug,  in the activity of timber deep processing enterprises. The Russian side  strengthens its presence in the Czech Republic as well: the branch of the Khanty-Mansiysk Bank has been successfully working in the Czech Republic for three years, the insurance company “Ugoria” studies possibilities of cooperation with Czech partners.

After lunch the Ugra delegation will leave for Yuzno-Moravia – the city of Brno by plane.

Governor, Chairman of the Government of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug Alexander Filipenko is awarded with the medal “For merits in the development of the Russian tourism”.

The awarding ceremony was held on November 24 in Moscow at the X International prizes “Leaders of tourist industry”.

The contest hosts are the mass media with the support of the Russian Alliance of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Committee of Economic Policy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism of the State Duma and Committee of Small Entrepreneurship and Tourism of the RF Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Over 200 applications were submitted to the contest and 53 participants became laureates in the main nominations and 25 ones got special prizes.

The Tourism Committee of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra was awarded with the diploma of the laureate in the nomination “For success in the development of inbound tourism”.

JSC “Tourist company “Yugra Service” became the winner of the great stylized crown of the GOLD category in the nomination “The best project on the development of inbound tourism” for the project “Conference-tourism and intensive programs in the city of Khanty-Mansiysk”.

The Wellness-Hotel “Yugorskaya Dolina” got the diploma of the laureate in the nomination “For success in the development of congress tourism”.

The working day of the official delegation of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug in the city of Bansca Bystritsa (Slovakia) was very intensive. After the working meeting with representatives of the Bansca Bystritsa Oblast Administration and signing the Protocol of Intentions, the members of the Ugra delegation, headed by Governor of the Autonomous Okrug Alexander Filipenko, laid flowers to the obelisk in honor of the Red Army soldiers and visited the museum of the memory of the World War II victims.

After lunch Governor of Ugra got acquainted with the work of the rehabilitation center. Located in the picturesque place Nizhni Tatry and can accommodate over 200 invalids who cannot move. In numerous medical rooms, workshops and laboratories about 300 doctors teach them to move with support of advanced technologies and people return to the full-value life again. While rehabilitation and treatment local mineral waters are widely used. The members of the Ugra delegation were greatly impressed with developed and successfully applied various methods of Man’s social rehabilitation. With help of different devices a disable person is taught to go and work on looms, work with iron, to make complicated devices. Checking out from the center, many patients are possessed of new skills and even mew professions top be applied in life. Governor of the Autonomous Okrug gave the task to the employees of the Healthcare Department and medical institutions of this profile of Ugra to study the Slovalian colleagues’ experience in detail.

At the end of the working day it was held the round table at the congress-hall of the Dixon Hotel with the participation of the Ugra delegation, representatives of the Banska Bystritsa public authorities and business structures. The First Deputy Chair of the Okrug Government Vyacheslav Novitski and Head of the Administration Yan Martsinek held the presentation of the regions, told about potential opportunities in innovation and investment spheres, commerce, construction. While the discussion there were determined the spheres of the future cooperation of two regions of Russian and Slovakia – economy, culture, education, science and researches, tourism and sport.

Summing up the results of the working day, Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko said in the comments by TV: “The day was intensive, but we saw much. Bu the visit was useful for both sides. The most part of our plans can be transferred to concrete cooperation. As Banska Bystritsa we actively develop tourism and our goals are common in much. The activity of the rehabilitation center was very interesting for us – we need such forms of the work with disable people. We discussed possible cooperation in the banking sphere, development of educational system. We signed today the protocol of cooperation – it is just the beginning of long mutually-beneficial cooperation between two our regions”.

Today the delegation of Ugra leaves for Prague.
