The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

According to the data of the Registry Office the demographic situation in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra has had a positive dynamics for ten months.

From the beginning of 2006 over 17,3 ths. babies have been born what prevails the indicators of the previous year for the same period by 2,8 %. The number of mortality cases in the Autonomous Okrug has decreased. For ten months 8490 people have died - less than from January to November, 2005 approximately by 2%. For the reported period about 13 ths. marriages and over 8 ths. divorces have been registered in Ugra.

Specialists of the Okrug Registry Office note that at the beginning of November, 2006, the population’s natural increase was 8873 - what is by 7m4 % higher that last year.
