The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

Today Governor of Ugra Alexander Filipenko congratulated the participants of the gala meeting, devoted to the Day of Russian Militia, held at the Division of Internal Affairs of the Autonomous Okrug.

He said that Ugra militiamen defend the rights and freedom of citizens in the Khanty-Mansiysk Okrug and in other regions of Russia according to the order of the Minister. Sociological researches prove that lately their authority among the population has grown. Employees of the Internal Affairs Division managed to improve many indicators but much should be done to make an order in public places, to increase the number of investigated crimes for people to know that criminals are punished. In Governor’s opinion, it can be achieved in close collaboration with people improving the preventive activities. Alexander Filipenko said that Ugra militia has all the material resources, special equipment to do its duty. The goal of employees of the Internal Affairs Division is to use them and their professional skills to solve the objectives they face. He wished militiamen and veterans of militia, their families happiness, health and well-being.

By Decree of Russia’s President five militiamen were awarded with the medal "For excellence in defence of the public order". Alexander Filipenko awarded Vitali Dyachkov, captain, Robert Ishbuldin, major, Pavel Kopytin, retired major, Anton Smirnov, captain, Vladimir Cherny, Senior Lieutenant. Other militiamen were awarded with Letters of Gratitude and Diplomas of the Okrug Governor.

Chairman of the Okeug Duma Vasili Sondykov also congratulated the participants of the meeting. He said that Governor, Government and Duma paid much attention to strengthening the internal bodies - 14 ths. people. In the Okrug there have been adopted some laws about militia service, and over 5 billion rubles have been spent for the development of material base of the Internal Affairs Division.

Vasili Sondykov awarded many militiamen with Certificates of Honor on beheld of the Regional Duma.

Minister Rashid Nurgaliev congratulated militiamen on the holiday in the telegram.

Today in Pejing at the International Center of Commerce it as held the opening ceremony of the Russian National Exhibition.

The official delegation of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra, headed by the First Deputy Chairperson of the Ugra Government Vera Dyudina, participated in the exhibition. The exhibition was opened by Minister of Economic Development and Commerce German Gref and Minister of Commerce of China Bo Silai.

The concrete and realized projects are presented on the stands of Ugra in Pejing - development of IT at the Ugra Research Institute of IT, use of advanced technologies in the sphere of timber deep processing at enterprises "Koda-Les" (Kondinski District) and "LVL" (Nyagan). The exposition of Ugra tells about enterprises which explore the wealth of the Pre-Polar Ural - "Sosvapromgeology", "Polar Quartz" (Berezovsko District). The Crafts Center from Khanty-Mansiysk represent traditional crafts and articles, made by national craftsmen. "We made an accent not on external symbols and national cuisine but on our concrete proposals about possible cooperation with Chinese partners", - said the Deputy Chairperson of the Ugra Government Kirill Morozov. "The stand is oriented to those who is ready to consider the cooperation practically".

The exposition of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug was interesting for Chinese businessmen and representatives of pubic authorities.

The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

On November 1 the contest "The best municipality of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra in the sphere of information-communication technologies (ICT)" was started in the Okrug.

The relevant decree was signed by Governor Alexander Filipenko.

The goal of the contest, which will last until June of 2007, is to create conditions for the formation of the united information space of the Autonomous Okrug.

The host of the event is the Committee of Information Resources of the Autonomous Okrug, Local Self-Government Division, Department of Information Policy.

The contest consists of three stages. The first stage - from November 1 to December 15, 2006, the second stage - from December 15 to April 1, 2007. The results of the contest will be summed up at the beginning of June 2007.

All the participants will be divided into the municipalities of the I and II levels. Town districts and municipal districts, refer to the municipalities of the I level, towns and rural settlements - II level.

The nominations as follows were presented in the contest:

"The best municipality of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra of the I level in the sphere of information-communication technologies application in the framework of the priority national project "Health"

"The best municipality of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra of the II level in the sphere of information-communication technologies"

"The best municipality of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra of the II level in the sphere of information-communication technologies application while realization of the priority national project "Available and comfortable housing - to citizens of Russia"

"The best municipality of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra of the II level in the sphere of information-communication technologies while realization of the priority national project "Education"

"The best municipality of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra of the II level in the sphere of information-communication technologies application in the framework of the priority national project "Health"

The awarding ceremony of the winners and prize-winners of the contest will take place in June while the annual interregional conference "Information technologies and solutions for "e-Russia".
