The Okrug Governor’s press-service informs:

Today in Yekaterinburg at the residence of the Plenipotentiary representative of the RF in the Urals Federal District Petr Latyshev it was held the meeting to discuss issues of the preparation of the election to the Tyumen Oblast Duma top be held in March of 2007.

Governors of Ugra Alexander Filipenko, of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Yuri Neelov, of the Tyumen Oblast Vladimir Yakushev and also leaders of the regional branches of the All-Russia party “United Russia” Vyacheslav Timchenko, Alexander Sidorov, Igor Nak, leader of the Urals Coordinating Council of the party, deputy of the State Duma Valeri Yazev. The meeting was chaired by the Secretary of the “United Russia” party General Council Presidium, Deputy Chair of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin. As a result of the discussion , the participants of the meeting came to conclusion that all the branches of three constituent entities are ready for the election.

Vyacheslav Volodin informed the participants about the agenda of the next meeting of the Party congress, held in the capital of the Federal District. One of the most important ones will be the discussion of the implementation of the mega-project “Ural Industrial – Ural Polar”. “This project is a new direction, aimed at developing the region in general”, - said Vyacheslav Volodin. “It is crucial for us that this pilot project would become one integral program as it has great meaning for all the constituent entities within the Urals Federal District”.

The implementation of the project is of special importance for the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug as Alexander Filipenkom Governor of Ugra, has initiated its turning into a federal program for several years.  He is expected to make a report at the meeting about the activity, done  in the Autonomous Okrug about prospecting and exploration and preparation of the Pre-Polar Urals zone for the active industrial development.
