Stages of project development

1930-1997

In the result of executed geological works on the territory of the Ural part of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra, effective 1930s deposits of quartz materials, bovey coal were found; stream-gold bed, root gold, zeolites, uranium ores were discovered.

At present prospects of Pre-Polar Ural regarding ore extraction containing copper, chromium, titanium, bauxites, rare metals, semiprecious raw materials, is proved.

1997-2006

Effective 1997 legal "fixing" of the process pf Ugra Pre-Polar Ural discovering has started:

  • July, 1997. Order of the Governor of the Autonomous Okrug #269 "On priority measures on mineral resources discovering of Pre-Polar Ural on the territory of the Beryezovsky District".
  • December, 1998. Order of the Governor of the Autonomous Okrug # 1094-rg "On adoption of regulations about Coordinative council on Pre-Polar Ural development".
  • October, 2000. Order of the Governor of the Autonomous Okrug # 515-rg "On discovering of mineral resources of Pre-Polar Ural".
  • December, 2000. Decree of the Autonomous Okrug Government #127-p "On primary events to form industrial infrastructure on the territory of Northern and Pre-Polar Ural".
  • May, 2005. Agreement on cooperation in complex industrial discovering of Pre-Polar and Polar Ural on the basis of advanced development of transport and energetic infrastructure among 6 equal entities of the RF: Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Sverdlovsk, Perm and Chelyabinsk Regions and Komi Republic, was signed.
  • May, 2005. Meeting on issues of social and economic development of Ural Federal District. Russian President V.Putin instructed about further development of project complex discovering and developing of Pre-Polar and Polar Ural.
  • June, 2005. Governor’s Order of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra #210-rg "On development of Concept and Program of complex industrial discovering of Pre-Polar Ural on the basis of advanced development of transport and energetic infrastructure".
  • July, 2005. Interdepartmental working group on issues of project realization headed by deputy Plenipotentiary of the RF President in the UrFD V.Basargin.
  • April, 2006. Order of the Government of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra #146-rp "On Article "On bowels management" of the Concept of complex industrial discovering of Pre-Polar Ural on the basis of advanced development of transport and energetic infrastructure".
  • July, 2006. Agreement on creation of the JSC "Corporation "Ural Promyshlenniy - Ural Polyarniy" on the projects management "Ural Promyshlenniy - Ural Polyarniy", founders of which are Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Tyumen Region.
  • August, 2006. Order of the Governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra #105 "On foundation of the Department of Pre-Polar Ural Development".
  • December, 2006. VII assembly of All-Russian political party "Edinaya Rossia" decided that the party would be a curator of the project realization "Ural Promyshlenniy - Ural Polyarniy".

 2007

  • April. Order of the Government of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra #93-rp "On Concept of energetics development of Pre-Polar and Polar Ural on the basis of local ores of Northern Sosva deposits".
  • June. Presentation of the project "Ural Promyshlenniy - Ural Polyarniy" at the XI International economic forum in St.Petersburg. Decision of Investment commission on adoption of construction documents of railway construction by means of Investment fund of the RF in the sum of 6.5 billion rubles.
  • November. Decision of the Governmental commission on investment projects, having national significance, about allocation of 6.5 billion rubles from Investment fund of the Russian Federation to develop railway construction documentation.

2008

  • January. Order of the Government of the Russian Federation on including of the project "Ural Promyshlenniy - Ural Polyarniy" to the list of investment projects which construction documentation is developed by means of Investment fund of the Russian Federation.
  • January. Railway Transport Federal Agency and JSC "Corporation "Ural Promyshlenniy - Ural Polyarniy" signed investment agreement "On development of construction documentation to realize investment project "Ural Promyshlenniy - Ural Polyarniy" by means of Investment fund of the Russian Federation.
  • April. Meeting of the Chairman of the Russian Federation Government V.Zubkov on issues of the project "Ural Promyshlenniy - Ural Polyarniy".
  • August. Agreement on cooperation between Government of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra and JSC "Korporatsia Ural Promyshlenniy - Ural Polyarniy", dated August 22, 2008, was signed.
