  Small enterprising is a constituent of modern market system of economy. It can be traced in all branches of economy of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra. All social groups of Autonomous Okrug population are involved into the activity of small enterprising.

1.03 thousand small enterprises operated in 2008 on the Okrug territory. The Okrug average number of employees working at small enterprises amounted to 44.87 thousand people.

The most popular among the small enterprises are the following types of economic activity:

  • wholesale and retail trade, motor transport, motorcycles, home and personal use goods repairing - 35.6%;

  • construction - 30.7%;

  • operations with real estate, rent, service rendering - 5.2%;

  • wood-processing productions - 13%;

  • hotels and restaurants - 1.5%;

  • other communal, social and personal services rendering - 2.5%,

  • transport and communications - 4.4%;

  • others -7.1%.

Turnover of small enterprises of Ugra for January-December amounted to 96.6 billion rubles.
